What are your expectations from Ringer?

What are your expectations from Ringer?

I expect that a lot of Buffy fans, myself included, will watch the pilot, and maybe the first 1 or 2 shows after that, trying to adjust to Sara, not Buffy, carrying a 9mm automatic, not a wooden stake. Once we get past that point, if the actors, writers, and directors do their jobs well, if the producers and sponsors LET the actors, writers and directors do their jobs without interference, and if the studio can keep their noses out of the general process, we can make a reasonable judgement as to whether we want to watch "Ringers," or whatever else is playing in that time slot on the other channels. Until then, I'm hopeful, but not really excited.

Not sure what I think yet. Pretty sure it'll spark some interesting stories in the fandom though.

First I didn't really care about the show. But now that I've seen some previews I think that this show has potential.
I always think of it as a show like Dollhouse. You don't get it, if you haven't watched all the episodes. (Which is, in my opinion, a good thing.)

I am REALLY worried about the timeslot. I mean Tuesday at 9/8c is not the best time. I mean I typically watch NCIS Los Angeles with like what 18 million people? That gets a LOT of viewers. However, I will be watching Ringer live because watching any show on the cw's homepage sucks soo bad.

Going into it with no expectations. Then I won't be disappointed.

Disappointment free... I hope.

I wonder how long this show will last. I don't mean last before it gets canceled, I mean how long the story will last. From what I've heard, it doesn't sound like it'll last for more than like one or two seasons...

I like the concept. Really anything that's not a cop/lawyer/doctor show in this day & age seems interesting and fresh lol. Of course I like SMG, I'm just unsure about the other actors at this point. And if the show will deliver the exciting storyline it's promising. But I will definitely be watching! If I'm not sitting at the TV at that time I will DVR it since I don't think watching it later OnDemand or on the website counts towards ratings, right?

I think the website, hulu, and dvr counts. If I am remembering correctly.

But not my cable OnDemand function?
I'm sure it will last at least five seasons... It's on The CW, who are JUST letting go of Smallville after ten seasons, One Tree Hill after 9, etc.

I really want to LOVE this show. I can't wait for the premiere. And I hope for many, many interviews and covers with Sarah this fall. 😀

I can't wait for the show, I just hope we don't get disappointed. I'm not sure if it'll be aired here in Portugal, but I'm crossing my fingers.

From the previews I've watched all over the internet, it looks to be a thriller of sorts. That's good because I love thrillers. 😀

Besides, it's Sarah Michelle Gellar dudes! Do you know how long it's been since she's graced my television set? Too long. 😉

I think it looks really interesting but the fact that it's on the CW is a little unnerving.

Why is it unnerving? Don't forget that CW is an amalgamation of WB and UPN which had Buffy[/i] as one of their hits. Maybe this show will be one of many that will bring CW back to its glory days when it was just WB. 🙂 We can hope.

That's very true. I keep telling myself that it'll be more like Supernatural and unlike all the other over dramatic CW shows. Let's hope that's true.

You really never know. The initial story may not seem like it can go beyond 1 season but I can see things evolving. And, in my mind, they wouldn't be making a series with such a tight storyline where they knew it wouldn't be able to go past 1 season.

Heroes and Legend of the Seeker presented similar themes, where they had tight storylines the first season and then after that, they surprised me by going onto another season. Though LOTS didn't get the chance to continue, it definitely wasn't for lack of storyline potential (since there are, what, 11 Sword of Truth books?) I always figured that once the main evil is defeated, what else could they do with the story and the characters once the prophecy is fulfilled. But it proved me wrong, and there were new stories to tell.

I'm really looking forward to Ringer. I'm hoping that it can last as I have been wanting to have a show to watch every week again. SMG being in it is what is drawing me to watch it but I love the story concept of two twin sisters, and the thriller part of it has me hooked!

I am absolutely extremely excited for this show. It's got my girl Sarah plus a very interesting story line. I can't wait to check it out.

Sept. 13th, 2011 on The CW at 9:00 after 90210 people!!

Don't miss it so we can all chat after it airs 🙂

I'm looking forward to it. It has a pretty interesting concept, and a cast obviously, so I think it will be pretty good.
