What are your pet peeves?

I hate whenever you tell someone your problems and they just say "Well at least no one's ever ___" or "At least you haven't been through this..." blahblahblah. Why do people feel the need to compete with misery?!

Drives me nuts. When you tell someone something is bothering you, they're supposed to help you not argue about who has it worse.

I agree wholeheartedly. Emotions are not quantifiable and comparable like that.
When somebody calls Dawn "Dawnie". Seriously, it KILLS me, and not in a good way. I'm not even 100% sure of why, but it really pisses me off lol.

Lol 🙂 You mean in the show or people talking about the show? I can see what you mean, it's kind of treating her like a baby, but to be honest, she sometimes acted like one 😉

When somebody makes fun of my speech impediments. Or mocks my speech impediments. Or even NOTES in a negative way that I HAVE a speech impediment. UGH. It really gets on my nerves, it's SO rude! Luckily, not many people are ever mean to ME (lol), the only people who ever are are obnoxious boys who have never talked to me once in their life. 😀 And even then it's rare. But still.
 
I hate people who think they have the hardest life, while there are people who have harder lifes and don't whine about it.

People seem to think they have a hard life these days when their plant has died.

I'm more pissed at those who use their tough life as an excuse for the big mistakes/bad things they do. It's insulting for those who have an harder life or even a same-hard life.
Saying things like PIN Number... it's pretty much saying Personal Identification Number Number.

The same for ATM Machine. Just see me when someone says, "Oh, I have to go put my PIN Number in the ATM Machine!" It drives me crazy!

Having my line of work being described as "playing all day" or unimportant.

Smokers that don't show any respect for none smokers. Ok, I get that you don't have it easy nowadays but that's not a good enough reason to blow smoke in my face or stand in front of entrances so you have to walk past a cloud of smoke to get in or out.

You'd love it here. We don't have that problem. But on the other hand we say CD-skiva. Which means CD-disc or if you prefer Compact disc disc.

It's from Firefly (Episode Our Mrs. Reynolds) and I don't want to make this a thread about hell or religion. Just curious on what you would change the last part to if you could decide. What behavior always annoy you? For me it's smokers that intentially blow the smoke your way or even in your face. I don't smoke for a reason. Do you think I love the smoke or is it just your way of trying to be cool?

A bit difficult to fit it into the quote but I don't care. I have to admit though that I like commenting during movies and shows. I have to hold myself back. Maybe there's a reason I watch so many things on my own. 😉

hehe nah but seriously, for me I'd probably add people who walk reeally slowly, preferrably a group of them taking up the whole sidewalk too walking next to each other. That drives me mad.

(and of course, as mentioned before the people who have the audacity to write in a library book. or dog-ear them!)

There are so many things that piss me off about people that I could never, ever fit it into one post, but here I go...

People that listen to music on their headphones really loudly on public transport.
People that whinge about me smoking outside, or whinge about me smoking in general. Argh. It's my choice, just like it's their choice to chow down on junk food increasing their chances of dying from a multitude of diseases.
People that insist on talking about politics with me, only to get defensive and argumentative when I actually give 2 seconds of MY opinion after listening to 20 minutes of their bullsh*t 'ideas' about the world.

Okay, I'll limit my rant to that for now I think.
 
LOL I LOVE that quote... It's one of my very favorite quotes from the show. 😀
For me, I'd change the last part to "people who scrap their teeth across their silverware". YIKES! That goes through me worse than nails on a chalkboard!
