Enquiring minds want to know as now my art program is apparently obsolete! What do you use and how easy do you find it?

Photoshop CS6 which I got secondhand and claimed to be totally legally from eBay. Free versions would be Gimp for Photoshop and Inkscape for Illustrator.
Also, Canva has now incorporated Affinity totally into their platform. EDIT: I'm suspicious of Canva's policies, though; it looks like they have the right to do pretty much anything with what you use through their platform.

Most non-free programmes appear to be monthly rental rather than buy, which is not something I am a fan of. If I was going to get something new, I would probably start using Gimp more.

I got an email which reminded me that Humble Bundle often have graphical bundles on sale. Currently there's a Corel Draw bundle: Design Unlimited Bundle

I just hope that the older versions continue to function for many more years. It's a concern as computers get updated.

My first graphics program was a prehistoric version of Photoshop that had a nervous breakdown and stopped working when it encountered the size of modern hard drives.

I have never tried this myself, given I don't have any Creative Cloud software, but I have known of people ringing up Adobe customer service after their offer has expired to "cancel" their subscription with the intention of being offered a discount for the next year. Which, by the sounds of it, has been known to work.

Lol That's what I was thinking of doing haha! I loved my Photoshop Elements program and had been using it since 2002. So gutted that I can't use it anymore.
