Question What Changes Would You Make To BtVS?

I've never seen a lasting/undoomed relationship in a Jossverse show. I don't know how it would pan out, and maybe I'm just as sadistic as Joss, but it's very intersting watching characters grow through grief. And death is a part of life after all. So, I'm not against him killing Jenny off. But I just wish we'd have seen more of Jenny and Giles' time together. They didn't have many scenes even though we knew they were having a relationship, but it was way too background. And giving them a tiny bit longer together also, without all those agonising periods of estrangement would have been much better.

Um I would have not have buffy killed off in the first season and would not have had Riley innit because I thought he was kind of pointless character, and I would have kept Joyce and gotten rid of Dawn (she sux).

One that comes to mind instantly is to do away with the trio as villains in Season 6! They really did annoy me! Can't stand any of those three to be honest! Johnathan was okay in the early seasons, but didn't really like Superstar - anyway that's my main change haa

IA. Superstar was a bad (as bad as Buffy can get) episode! I was so bored by it lol

I absolutely loved Superstar and thought it was brilliant!
1. Change the title of the show to "Willow the Witch."

2. Make Wesley BtVS more realistic. Maybe not quite as awesome as Wesley AtS, but not the ridiculous buffoon of BtVS

3. No Kennedy and more Scoobies in Season 7. Season 7 has some brilliant moments, but it could have been so much better.

4. Rewrite Adam. He was a great idea, but was poorly executed.

5. Delete Anya's song in Season 7 (I think it was His Mrs, right?) I hated every moment of it.

6. Create a spinoff show: Vamp Willow the Slayer Slayer

You're right about Adam. He had great potential, but it never was realized.
1. The Bad Hair Dude staying really most sincerely dead after "Becoming".
1b. A spinoff named "Faith - The Dark Slayer".

2. Cordelia staying in Sunnydale. Anya reduced to a recurring "mostly harmless" ditzy minor villain à  la Harmony.

3. A lot more Giles in S6 and 7, including him not leaving a severely depressed, ripped out of heaven Slayer behind after OMWF/TR.

4. A different Big Bad for S7, not that cheesy thing from that episode. (Thankfully, point 1. would have nixed that episode, anyway...) Caleb reworked into a different background story without The First would still work excellently, though.

5. Reduce the number of potentials in S7 by at least 80%. Reduce their screen time by the same quotient.

6. Kennedy, yay. Killow, nay.

7. No fraking canonized S8 comics, tyvm.

-The Bad Jerks in s6 shouldn't be. Annoying characters, not at all hilarious as Joss stated.
- Neither soul nor chip for Spike. He was fantastic in s2 and he and Dru were a great couple. The more the show progressed the more his character became uninteresting and annoying.
- B/S shouldn't have been. Their relationship was destructive, dysfunctional and so on.
- Anyway, Spike's exit in "Chosen" was perfect and the writers shouldn't ever undo it.
- The whole plot of s6...Double Meat Palace, annoying; Buffy's depression...too long and depressive; Willow's magical addiction...scarcely believable and disappointing
- Dawn! What the hell the writers were thinking when they decided to introduce Dawn?
- The Potentials in s7... boring and a waste of time.
