What character affected Angel the most out of all 5 seasons?

Connor. Angel was was never ashamed to show him his game face, just to make little Connor giggle
 
definitely Connor cause Angel never expected to become a father cause he was a vampire...Connor changed his life totally!
And i also believe Cordelia who is rightfully characterised as "the heart" of Angel Investigations...cause Angel and her really became friends and supported each other...while i am watching Buffy...i just can never imagine Cordy and Angel have a serious talk!But she evolved as a character and i respect her a lot
 
As much as Buffy inspired Angel to become a better person in the first place, and as much as Doyle put him on the path that would, eventually, someday, hopefully, lead to some degree of redemption and peace of mind for him, without Cordelia Chase, Angel would be a jibbering idiot sitting in a dark corner drawing dirty pictures, while a one armed Wesley and Gunn run around Los Angeles trying to keep the demon population under control. Or am I the only one here who remembers Season 3 "Birthday?"

So, Cordy was, undoubtedly, the most important person to Angel. Not only did she save his sanity, she saved him having to kiss Doyle in order to get the gift of prophecy

What's wrong with kissing Doyle?
I'd say its both Cordy and Connor who had the most impact on Angel. Cordy made Angel feel more human, ok at first she was just a little on the nutty side that I don't think Angel grasped until she had the visions. She always reminded him why he does what he does, I think Cordy was Angel's anchor. Always keeping him grounded. Connor well he is Angel's son. The one thing Angel never thought he'd get, he got and loved him dearly even when he went off the rails. He gave him up so he could have happy normal life and always tried to protect him no matter what.
 
I think Cordy. In the words of Doyle - she had a very humanizing influence. I think she thought him how to be person and not just a vampire with a soul. She helped him come out of his moody shell, and become part of a family unit, and showed him that he was more than just a mission. With her visions I think she also helped him become a true hero.
Gotta love Cordy. 😀
 
I would have to go with Cordelia as well. I think that they both grew in terms of character development and it really seemed to be driven by the relationship they had not only with eachother but the other characters as well. I will say I hated Cordy for pretty much all of season 4 but aside from that I think she is the why behind who he is today.

And were the PRIMARY reason he went into the belly of THE BEAST. To fight evil from within at W&H.
 
I'd say Darla. Darla not only gave him a miracle child, but she's the reason he's the way he is.
