Question What comics should I read and in what order?

Hello! I am almost finished with Buffy and Angel the tv-series' and am now looking to continue by reading the comic books. I just cannot locate any where online which order would be ideal. And should I read all the comics? I'm not a major comic book lover (I've actually not read any since I were a kid) so I'm not sure I've got time to read all of them.
But, yeah; Do I read first the three season of Buffy and then Angel and then others or how will I go about this without ****ing with the story line too severely?

There's season 8 and 9, they are a direct continuation of the show and are considered canon. They suck. There's also 60 or so issues of Buffy comics that were released when the show was on air, they are not considered canon and range from decent to horrible. Not an expert on Angel comics.

And should I read all the comics?

No. They mostly suck.

Then I'd recommend you skip them. Those comics are inaccessible and designed for a stereotypical comic book geek - one shots, multiple series, references to other comics, seasons and the rest of that bullshit.

Some people really enjoy the comics. I'm not one of them...but I do keep reading them so maybe they aren't totally terrible. 🙂

Anyways here is a list of reading order through s8, after that you have BTVS s9, Angel & Faith, Willow: Wonderland and Spike: A Dark Place.

If you want to stick to purely canon comics... that is, those personally approved and written or supervised by Joss Whedon... then I would read the trade paperbacks in the following order:

9. Buffy Season 8: The Long Way Home
10. Buffy Season 8: No Future For You
11. Buffy Season 8: Wolves at the Gate
12. Buffy Season 8: Time of Your Life
13. Buffy Season 8: Predators and Prey
14. Buffy Season 8: Retreat
15. Buffy Season 8: Twilight
16. Buffy Season 8: Last Gleaming
17. Buffy Season 9: Angel & Faith: Live Through This
18. Buffy Season 9: Freefall
19. Buffy Season 9: Angel & Faith: Daddy Issues
20. Buffy Season 9: On Your Own
21. Buffy Season 9: Angel & Faith: Family Reunion
22. Buffy Season 9: Guarded
