What did Angel do to Connor?

Doing a rewatch as many already know and i've just seen the finale of season 4.

This is probably an obvious question but what does Angel do to Connor? Obviously he makes him forget and sends him to a new family but how does he do it?

To my knowledge it isn't explained.
 
Yeah, I always thought that it was kind of a combination of the spell that the monks invoked in order to make Buffy and all of her friends suddenly "remember" Dawn being there all along, for Connor's new parents and everyone involved in his new life, and the "Tabula Rasa" spell that wiped everyone's minds of everything concerning Connor except for Angel.
 
Yeah it was explained. The senior partners altered reality to make everyone but Angel forget about Connor and give him a happy normal life and family and in exchange for it angel had to run wolfram and hart.
 
I think the question is what did Angel DO to set off the spell or whatever. I always thought he killed Connor. Connor says, "There's only one thing that ever changes anything... and that's death." And so Angel says he's gonna prove he loves him then cuts his throat. I actually just looked up the exact line of Connors and found that it says Angel sweeps down his knife hand and swipes the blade across Connor's throat.
 
Yea, I always thought he had to kill Connor for the SPs to do their spell.
 
Was it the senior partners?
The wizard that Illyria killed caused the whole memory thing.
Angel only took on the WR&H LA branch if most memories of Connor be erased.
 
Angel had to kill him in order for him to be reborn, he also wanted some other characteristics changed, one of them was his attraction to older women. he also chose to give him a loving family cause its the one thing Connor always wanted & never had.
