What did Giles do to reverse Buffys school-kick-out?

After Giles talked to Mr. Snyder Buffy got a new chance at her old High school! What do you think convinced Snyder? May Giles become Ripper? May he opened him that he knows very much about demons too? To scare him? Because Snyder kew about them! Or maybe he just used laws to show Snyder that it was illegal to kick Buffy out of school? What do you think?

I don't think Giles would tell him about demons and magic etc. since he didn't know Snyder knew about that stuff. To be honest, I think being pinned up against the wall was probably
enough for Snyder to change his mind. It's not like he's the most courageous character on the show. 😛

I totally agree. But when he was pushed against the wall he didn't seem to be convinced by Giles. I assumed the same and that's why I was so surprised when he looked very serious, not scared! I assumed Giles did something more to convince him!

Actually, I think the answer to this question is given to us in Checkpoint. When the Council threatens to have Giles deported immediately, and later Buffy asks Giles whether the Council can really do that, and he answers, "In a heartbeat. See, the rough stuff they're all right at; they're a bit ham-handed, but they get it done. But, this stuff, the bureaucracy, the pulling of political strings, they're the best in the world. They can kill you with the stroke of a pen."

At the time of the school situation, Giles and Buffy were both still with the council. After seeing that scene in Checkpoint, I figured that Giles enlisted the Council's help to pull some strings and pressure Snyder to let her back in.

Being shoved against a cabinet, and the fact that what Snyder did was unlawful, probably also helped. 🙂
