what are those stupid things you believed in as a kid such besides the easter bunny and santa
i used to believe that if i slept on the floor near the door there would be an earthquake 😱

I used to believe that bubbles went to bubble heaven. I luved to blow bubbles but would get very upset when they would pop and then be gone. I think I convinced myself of the bubble heaven to make myself feel better about blowing them.

well the tooth fary is another common child delusion, lol. ummm i lived at my nans for a bit when i was yonger an she didnt have a chimney that "santa" could fit down so i used tho think he had dust that made him realy small so he could fit thro the crack in the windowseal. lol

I used to think that objects had feelings, and if I threw a crisp packet away it would be sad and lonely.
I used to also think that currents (the fruit kind) were dead flies, thanks to my mom, and I still refuse to eat currents...

...I was a sad...lonely child...

my mum told me that santa used to have a key that fit every keyhole in the world...and I believed that babys got brought by stalks...it shows how gulliable we are wen wer lil...lol

I was just gonna say that Chas! I believe that too! LOL! Objects most definately have personalities and feelings. Alphabet remember...lol

I believed a lot of very twisted things when I was little. But I was very sick then. I had OCD so I believed I had to do lots of wierd things or my family would be killed by demons.

I also believed in the toilet monster...ok, so I still do but have you SEEN Dreamcatcher?!

I did believe in the toilet monster and still do too! Is that in Dreamcatcher?! I have been so afraid to watch that movie, man.

What is wrong with us? lol Sheesh...

Uhhh...I used to believe in the tooth fairy, then one night I felt and saw my mother tryin to put money under my pillow lol Believed in Santa then at a very young age that evil but lovable big sister of mine was well bein evil and told me Santa is not real. Never believed in the Easter Bunny. Also, when I was young, I always watched horror movies...guess who I watched them with *points at my big sister* So I believed that dolls will come kill me eventually, that if I say "Candy Man" three times in the mirror he'll kill me (like the movie lol), that Pennywise (the clown from "It") will come take me away and kill me...yep...great childhood beliefs huh? lol

I believed in the Bloody Mary thing, I was scared of mops (don't ask), I believed that if you got a splinter it would travel to your heart and you would die!

LOL! I didn't think that Bloody Mary was a nation or world wide epidemic! LOL! Oh, that was so bad in our school when this group of mean girls got together and spread stories about things happening in the girls restrooms at school. Kids were having accidents, they were ALL keeping their parents up at night screaming and crying...it was HORRIBLE! (I was amongst the believers and I was afraid to pee, poo, shower, sleep...) Blegh! I was ALMOST over that...THANKS A LOT!!!

I used to think that poor people lived in the sewers, so I would flush money down the toilet to them.

I believed that people would be a bit more open-minded and realize that competitive cheerleading IS a sport. Some people are just so close-minded some times...

Lol...lovin' this thread! 😀

Back when I was a wee child.....I would take my dad's Atlas and turn to the various maps inside, and slap my hand down on them really hard. For some crazy reason, I believed that I was killing people in other countries by doing this.

It was the overdose of Nestle's Quik, I'm tellin' ya! WAY too much chocolatey goodness for a small kid to handle! 😛

I believed that my stuffed animals were really complex, thoughtfull beings. I thought that when I left the room, and at night, they all partied.... So I would tell them things, and say to them "I know you can't talk back to me right now... But I know your'e listaning". -This I think in large part is owed to a series of childrens books called The Night The Toys Came To LIfe and The Veleveteen Rabbit.

Also believed in the monster under the bed. I would never sit with my legs hanggingover the bed, and would always run and leap on to it.... It was really awful when I fell short. Both because it was painful, and because I was right there, by the monster.
