okay, what did your town bring the world? my town, (bradford, england,) brought someone to the world that you might not no if you aren't british. but my town brought the world.... *drum roll*

I honestly cant think of anything. My town is very small and was a mining village...one day it will give the world an Evil Lawyer Chick (me 😀)
 
my town/village,Mirfield gave the world.............Patrick Stewart!
 
Here we go..... Southampton, England gave the world the very talented Craig David! He has had a few hits so he should be known i suppose....
 
Well lets see. Dublin (in Ireland) has been around for a while, over a thousand years. So lets start with Jonathan Swift, Brendan Beehan (a great playwrite), Bob Geldof, Phil Lynott (front man of Thin Lizzy), U2.

I would however like to apologise on behalf of Dublin for Boyzone! Sorry about that, you have no idea how much. 🙁
 
My town, New Britain CT, gave the world Tebucky Jones! He plays football for the New England Patriots, and his background is amazing. I met him, and know his brother, and he is really a remarkable man.

On a larger scale, New Britain also gave the world The Stanley Works, a major corporation. We were also a major industry town, and because of this, I live in one of the most diverse towns in my state!

Hmmm well Bournemouth, England gave the world nothing but a home for all the old of the world, it's not called the Costa Geriatrica for nothing!

Darla, don't forget Soton gave the world (well at least us down in bournemouth) a decent place to shop 😀
 
My town didn't bring anything to the world, lot's of crap i'm sure!
But our country (netherlands) brought Famke Jansen! A great actresse also known in the US! She played in James Bond!

Dublin also gave the world Samantha Mumba!!!!!!
 
Metro-Detroit, MI gave the world Eminem, Kid Rock, some others. and some really cool cars. I know there's some other famous people, but I can't think of anyone right now...
 
Charleston, SC: We unleashed Hootie & the Blowfish onto the music world. 😛 Um, we also are used for many movies as the settings. [Like the Patriot, O, and others I can't think of]

Oh yeah. And me. You know... when I'm a famous author and all that. 😱
 
well i'm from a teeny-weeny little town in the u.k. lets see if anyone famous came from here....nope but here's a site if you wana see it -its really pretty! weel i've looked but there is NO decent site for nantwich just shows how important we are doesn't it?
 
My town is Yarraville, it's in Melbourne, Australia. It's becoming a pretty popular place to film movies, they include:

-Part of Emma Caulfield's film, Don't Peek, was filmed around the corner from me😀
-An Aussie film called the Wog Boy was filmed here
-Lots of commercials have been filmed here
Yarraville is also the childhood home of singer Peter Andre (ok, not neccisarily something to be proud of, lol), and a growing number of Aussie actors are calling Yarraville home, including Eric Bana (Black Hawk Down) and Guy Pearce (he takes his dog to the same vet i do).
