As a child, I always knew what I wanted to do when I grow up. And I could never understand other children who didn't know. I mean, it makes sense, not everybody knows. Yet, I kept asking people that question. So I'm interested to know what you wanted to be when you grow up (or still do if you're not an adult or in school)?

I knew I wanted to be an author. As a child, I wrote many stories which I wanted to turn into books. They were children books. I used to have a folder with many things in it like a list of the stories I wanted to write, a notebook where I wrote my stories, and more. Then I got into acting. My friend went to an acting class and I decided to join her. Ever since then, I took many acting classes during the next 6 years or so. Even more than one at once. I signed in an agency and had a few very small acting jobs.

I also took interest in mysticism and luck stones. I bought many books on the subject and was pretty much an expert. I collected stones and really wantd to do something that's connected to that.

The writing hobby made a turn, just a little one, and I started teaching myself screen writing. Including participating in contests and making it to the finals. Then, I ran into another world I didn't even think about. Sewing and fashion. And that's what I do today. I even studied fashion last year. That's not something I even thought of when I was a child, but it's something that I wanna do today. I would still love to get back to acting, and writing though.

That's because of the you liking fashion I thought "maybe she also does jewelry" :D
I wanted to be a doctor until I was about 15. Then I wanted to be a teacher until I was 17. Then I wanted to be a psychologist until I was almost 19. Now I want to be an actor/writer/showrunner. And honestly, this is what I've wanted my whole life, I was just afraid to admit it because I thought the things I wanted were "stupid" and "unrealistic." But now i know it's only stupid if I don't believe in myself. And it's unrealistic if I don't try.

Before I was about 12, I wanted to be a mish-mash of things, but never really committed to one particular profession. After that, all I ever wanted to be was a lawyer. *Ducks from the statute books Goby throws at her*

To go with that, things changed from international business law (I spoke almost fluent German) to family law to getting a psych degree. I really wanted to be an FBI profiler as I have a darn good intuition about people, but it's a very difficult job to get into. I figured I would get a law degree then get on with the FBI in some way or fashion.

Anywho, now I'm a part-time church secretary/SAHM/Wife and I wouldn't want to be doing anything else!

lol! I like your current profession!
I wanted to be a psychologist for a really long time. I don't even know why, really. When I was little, I thought being a psychologist was just having people tell you their problems and helping them, and that was it. Now, I still don't really have an idea of what exactly I want to be, but I definitely don't want to be a psychologist! Psych just really isn't for me.

Ms.Trick agrees: That's because of the you liking fashion I thought "maybe she also does jewelry"

No, I wish I was making jewelry. Too many interests and I have to pick between them. But I fooled ya!

I wanted to be an author, like you I was writing stories, even before learning to write. I was drawing the story and then I was telling the story to my mum and she was writing it on the drawings
Then I wanted to be an author and a singer.
Then I wanted to be an author and an actress.
Then I wanted to be an author and an actress and a fashion designer.
Then I wanted to be an author and a journalist and a fashion designer.

Now, I'm less in for the writing, I more want to be a journalist and a photograph and a fashion designer 😀

We have the same taste in things we want to be. And I also had this "I want to be this AND that at once". Like author and an actress - this is exactly me at 12!

And I was in school's paper, so I wouldn't say no to journalism.
Singer-if I knew how to sing, I guess I'd want to be a singer also.

I thought I could sing, and realize it was an illusion, that's why I gave up :D
All that I ever wanted to be when I was little was a cowboy, and have a horse like Trigger. Come to think of it, I would still like to have a horse like Trigger, but I would want a much softer saddle.

Soo many things.

My entire life, I have wanted to be an actress...but I kept switching my "back-up plan" lmao.

Plan B's(top to bottom, past to most recent)
(some are repeated)
Veterinarian
Teacher
Pilot (a moment of an Amelia Earhart obsession)
Lawyer
Teacher
Writer
Lawyer
Psychologist
International Business (hated International Relations until I took the class, now I'm super interested, but not convinced).

Well, I have always want to be a Vet and I still do. 😀
But I have also wanted to be:
A Rockstar
A Power Ranger
And Indiana Jones

When I was 6 - cashier. I thought all the money I get is going to me.
When I was 7 - Barbie.
When I was 8 - veterinarian. That lasted long enough.
When I was 10 - make up artist.
When I was 14 - an actress.
When I was 15 - an interior designer.
When I was 16 - psychologist.
When I was 17 - translator.

But every step of the way, since I was a kid, I truly wanted to be a writer.

That's the way it was for me. I changed different things, but underneath it all, I just wanted to act and create television. Follow your heart
I wanted to be a lawyer until a teacher shot me down so then I didn't know for a while then I settled on nursing which I'm doing now 🙂

I want to have words with your teacher! Although, I'm sure the healthcare field is better off with you in it!
I wanted to be an author or photographer until about 14 then I wanted to be an author and a teacher. Its pretty much what I still want to be. Or an optometrist or pathologist.
