What didn't you like about Btvs/Ats?

Let's face it, even the greatest shows have flaws. Sometimes my love for Buffy is so strong, it clouds my judgement. I see everything in a rose colored tint when it comes to Buffy, but even then I should know better and wipe away the fog. I didn't like how Joss KEPT KILLING PEOPLE! The first times he did it, it was shocking (Jenny, Angel) and it served the purpose of the storyline. Then after awhile, it felt like it was just sport to him, so he just started offing everyone. In all of his shows, I feel that he does that, which kinda annoys me. It was like he was just sticking to his "no one is safe" principal as opposed to just doing the story justice, just to be cool. And websites have even commented on that, like "Oh, it must be a Whedon show if your favorite character gets killed". I felt like after a while, it just became a trend. And I also got sick to my stomach when he killed off Wash in "Serenity". I felt it was so totally unnecessary. But that's just me.
I also didn't like how sometimes they were lazy with their fights. I mean there were a lot of times when you can clearly see the stunt doubles, and some fights just looked like they were REHEARSING the fight, instead of FIGHTING. But that's about it. 🙂

I'm even considering skipping the entire season on my current rewatch. I'll probably not skip it, but the thought has occurred to me. There's just almost nothing about it that I like.

There are a lot of inconsistencies about numerous things throughout the shows, which drives me nuts. And I'm with [MENTION=11161]patriot1123[/MENTION] about S7; it doesn't really do much for me. And Dawn. *shudder*

A couple big things off the top of my head...
BtVS
- Season 7 sucked. Seriously, terrible. It's like eating stale bread...with mold.
- Giles and Xander suck in later seasons. Xander: "I don't do anything...but I can still make jokes!". Giles: "I know you were just resurrected and all Buffy...but I think i'm gonna leave at the worst possible moment".
Angel
- Why did Cordelia get written out of the show. You suck Joss.
- Angel getting cancelled (amazing finale though), they had so many more stories to tell...
- Connor/Cordelia sex. I always wanted to see Cordelia have a sex scene...but not like this lol
- WHY DID YOU KILL DOYLE, HE WAS FRICKIN AWESOME!
BtVS

Wasn't it because Charisma got pregnant during the filming of season 4 and he got mad at her

Yeah. I'm mad because because there was no reason for Joss to write her out during Season 5, she had so much more to do. Whatever behind-the-scenes drama was happening gives Joss no reason to punish fans...
The inconsistencies, and the fact that they forgot about their past actions so often.
The choppiness of Angel season 4, there had to be a better way of dealing with Charisma's pregnancy.
The killing of Tara in order to make Willow dark
The fact that Cordelia and Wesley were never referenced again in Buffy (except the once to describe Glory)
Giles's actions during season 6 and 7
The demon that showed Xander the fake future in Hell's Bells
No Cordelia in Angel season 5

I can't stand, like many of you, how the characters easily forget about past thing or people that had fought beside them and died doing it.
Oh and also, I don't really like anything on ATS...but don't tell around 😛

- I dislike that they brought Spike back in s4, and then they didn't get rid of him... he's a ridiculous character, he makes me want to not tell people I watch Btvs because it's embarrassaring really.
- I think they could've ended they show after s4 honestly.
On Ats I wasn't a big fan of Cangel, Angel and Cordelia had a great friendship and I don't think it needed to be any more than that.

How could I forget this, yes bringing Spike back after season 2, although I did like him in season 1 of Angel
Plotholes. I get that this is a character show, not a plot show, but STILL. Most glaring, annoying inconsistency would be the ubervamps.
Seasons 6 and 7 of BtVS just bugged me. There were really good ideas, really good episodes, but none of the consistency of the earlier seasons. Still like them, though, if only because of Spuffy.

I didn't like some of the unexplained plotholes and inconsistencies. And I really didn't like the whole Buffy/Spike relationship in later seasons. I think it degraded the Buffy character a lot.

I did not like how certain things, mostly in the first two seasons of Buffy, were never answered. I guess at the time Joss did not know if the show would be continuing or not.
I also dislike Warren, a lot. I was cool with him and his robot girl friend, but he was just way way to crazy. I feel though BtVS could have gone better if Warren had not been brought back.

The potentials in season 7. The episode Restless lol. At first I really didnt like them bringing in Dawn but I dont feel that way anymore. Most of season 4 and 5 of Angel -_- And Wesley taking Baby Connor!! *cries forever*
