What do they study?

Willow, Tara and Buffy are in college but what are they studying? Random things? 😀 I remember psychology in season 4, talking about french revolution in season 5 so I guess european history, the I think I remember sociology in season 6 when Buffy tries to go to class again and maybe some French Literature when they talk about hunchback of notre dame? And the art book that Tara gave to Buffy?

Can you study random things in the US? 😀

I think since it was their first year, all of them were still doing their pre-recs. They were probobly taking different things and exploring what they might want to major in. Here, you have to take 'the basics' (such as writing and math) before you can do your major, such as Nursing or Accounting, as an example.

I could have been Buffy majoring in English (she liked Poetry) or Psychology. I know she scored high in law enforcement, but I don't think she ever considered being a cop.

I'm willing to bet money that Tara was doing nursing (she was a very caring person) and Willow was probably considering Computer Science or Math.

I never knew about the Pre-recs for American university degrees. I always just assumed they were perhaps doing Art Degrees where you pick one major "psychology" and pick your own electives to make up the rest of the degree I think.

The American education system is baffling to me (since I'm not American and all) it seems so complex!
