What do you do to unwind?

I love putting together puzzles! Coloring, painting, or working on calligraphy can all be relaxing. Or snuggling up in bed with a cozy blanket and a good book. Going for a walk if the weather in nice is also a good way to clear my head.

I just jumped on here to unwind from socialising. Hehe it was something still more stimulating than knitting but not as hard as putting tv or dinner on i know i am in the kind of mood that if I put the tv on i will get moving and make dinner! Suduku?o is a bit like that too for me - but the book of puzzles has to get me before the little screen of doom does.

Plus i think I like socialising online when there is less pressure than physical interactions. I think this is the part of singleness I love bht have veey much relied on for getting in tohch with friends. I post here a lot because the members mostly rock. Its been interesting to see how fellow fans react and how opinions can change as we all age. I always lkke hearing about diffeeent ways of life. BB is an unwind for me, similar to the men that head to the pub daily at 4pm. I have been here much more when facebook isnt an easy option.

I am so glad I have house pets they defenietly keeping me moving! Spoilt little brats.

I was thinking how to unwind then I had to figure out what song meant most to me in parts of my life. I supposed I should feel really stressed by the tracks I left off but listening to the ones I listed was so comforting. There was one more to put on the list but I doubt if the boss would like it if I listed it it was a track by Fleetwood Mac.
Whose gonna guess which one it is?

I write, collect Coins, make model Racing cars, and draw a fair bit. These hobbies keep the non-housework/gardening hours pretty well filled 😀
Have you seen any of the new 10p coins yet? I want them but I've yet to see one. I want to actually collect them rather than buy the set.

Answered on a PM rather than go off topic on here :)
I cant wait to get in the garden this weekend. Lots of bits to do. Lots of fruit to unload to people in town. Lots of baking and cooking to do with what I have grown! Thats all fun and relaxing for me when I have the right energy. Hopefully this weekend, I will!

I often find that even though it is part of my job, that driving can be a good way to relax as such, especially on a long motorway drive. Often find myself thinking things over or just singing a long to the radio etc and I usually relax fairly easily. Not always good though, it's weird, you're concentrating on the road but your mind is elsewhere, often get to places sooner than I thought I would and no real idea of how much time has gone by lol.

Did I say cooking and gardening already? like ultimate de-stress. Haha Although I havent started dinner yet.. I guess I didnt wind up enough to need extreme measures to unwind today? I am in a social mood today but I dont want to go to the pub or anything like that, after having quite an active day today. Online chat is easier than face to face socialisation.

I think the chat stuff has evolved from what it was 10 ish years ago. I would be stuffed after work but still feeling social and the houses at Bb were like hanging out in a very casual common room or pub. We had more chitter chat, and formed closer bonds. Online chattin was my "talkin on the phone" as i've noticed a whole lot of age groups and places do. Perhaps this is my boarding house girl coming through, but i used that type of socialaisation more than the pub scene my friends, as i was used to hanging out in more relaxed and free common room setting during my life but did not live with family. We still had a very active time away from the common room but also met there to have a chat to unwind. Am i making sense? Haha. Lately my chat is self restricted to a few and i think ive driven us all batty! Its the social aspect that the common rooms were there for , daggy chilled hangout, some of which evolved into penpals or meetings. I dont want to kill my inner girl guide! It was a low stress community that was socially productive time well spent.

It's kinda tricky because all my leisure activities include either computer, tv, or a book. But after i spent like 12 hours a day looking at screens or papers(computer engineering student), it's hard to relax doing the same thing again. But i'm kinda introverted-indoorsy type of a person and i don't like to go out, hate sports etc... So i othen clean or work out at home, listen to music, audiobooks and podcasts. And i kinda got bored by it, actively looking for a new hobby that will fit in in my lifestyle.

Practising my usage of magical meanderings, my favourite way to unwind is levitating and slowly spinning anti-clockwise.
Dontcha just love them mechanical clockwork mechanisms?

I really want to learn to do more on my knitting loom, so far I've only really made scarves, so want to learn to make something else.
