What Do You Do?

For the last five years I have been working as an Armed courier, or armored truck guard if you will. It pays well, but it does get monotonous at times.

I would just like to say the young members on this thread who find working in a fast food joint to be undignified, specifically if you work in McDonald's, you're lucky.
When I was 16, my first summer job was working part-time for Popeye's Fried Chicken, and they made me wear a friggin' Popeye suit, with a huge plastic head, a smoking pipe the size of a lamp post, and size 30 foam rubber shoes. LOL. Foreign tourists would harangue me for pictures, little children would jump up and down on my super-sized shoes wanting me to sing the Popeye song, not to mention the temperature inside the suit, which felt like 1000 degrees. And all this for $3.80 an hour.

So remember, next time you all go to work, count your blessings, because it could be worse, you could be working for Popeye's! **shudders** LOL.

I'm a 16 year old, going into the 11th grade. Currently I'm working at a supermarket...not the greatest job, and yeah I would give anything to work somewhere better but it gets me buy and I can deal with it for two more years....I hope!

fast food jobs suck ass...my friend worked at kfc...and chopped off the tip of his finger making a twister...lol...he didn't even do anything about it...falk...i'd only work at fast food as a last resort...
 
I am a freelance writer, articles mostly though have been expanding into some corporate work. But the pay is horrible, I make most of my money from speculation on equities, been pretty lucky up till now. Made enough to enroll in a school to learn to be a network admin!
Of course I am only working till my writing career really takes off.

I run the desk, shelve, call people when their books on hold come in, and process the books. Ya know how the library books have the plastic covers on them? yeah, I do that, it's a pain.

*cringe* That had to hurt. I wouldn't want to work at a fast food place...I'd get too sick of it
 
This summer I worked for a title insurance company. Now I'm going back to college for my 3rd year.
 
HAHAHAHAHA!!! Old Master, I can SO see you in a big ol' Popeye costume! Little kids hanging off of you as you look up towards the sky and scream "Why God?! Why have you chosen to forsake me?!" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

lol well Rayne lost it a long time ago 😉

I'm so glad i've never had to wear uniforms, well apart from my Somerfield one but that was when I was in High School. All the rest were offices. I loved working for Sky TV. I got paid to talk on the phone and watch tv....and got the privellege of free Sky TV, all channels 😉
