What do you imagine other members to look like?

I dont know if this sounds stupid but for the longest time I kept confusing OM3 with BEG and so I kinda always pictured them as looking like the same person (not much to describe just a dark goatee). Still do sometimes!

You know, I totally see people as their avatars too. Even if I know what they look like. 🙂

I think it's probably because people keep avatars for longer than banners.

But tbh, I have never really associated a persons avatar to what they look like... I tend to get an image based on how they write, what they write and stuff like that. When I know what someone looks like I usually go "Ahh, I seeee", but then when I go back to reading posts I use the picture I created in my head :L I think there is a picture of me on my profile if y'all wanna see it!

I definitely look nothing like any of the people in either of my avatars I've had on here. Unfortunately, for the most part. (Though I have been told I SOUND like Eliza 😵....Anywho...) Pic is in my profile if anyone wants to look.

I end up creating some sort of mash up in my head, from the avatar, posts said person makes, and their username. I'm usually totally off and end up being really surprised when I see what people really look like.

Also, we have a MASSIVE amount of hotties on this site. If anyone is ever on the hunt for hot geeks, this is where to look.

For me it's usually a specific avatar that sticks, even if they change I still just see the old one, 🙂

e.g If Cait was to change her av (I know that you look like a doll but still) if you changed it I'd probably still think of Adam Baldwin when you post.

NY state of mind used to have a Cordy av from Veronica Mars that's burned into my memory

And Darla used to have one of dark haired Julie Benz that's all I see when she posts.

For years my av was of Lorne in shades. I don't look like Lorne in shades. Although I do tend to think of people as looking like their avatars. 😀 Apart from some of the older members who I know what they look like - Cait, Occa, HisMrs etc. Hotties ahoy!
