For those of you who watched Buffy when it aired, what do you miss the most?

I remember me, getting myself and my room ready, shuting all the windows, unplugging the phone, letting everybody know that it's about to start and I wouldn't accept any calls or talks. I really miss it and the fact that I watched it without knowing what's gonna happen. That it was all fresh and exciting. I miss talking about last night's episode, and not knowing what will happen next.

The anticipation of Thursday night! I would be so excited to have new episodes of Buffy and Angel to watch. I never got my homework done quicker than I did on Thursdays.

The last thing you said resonates with me. Not knowing what was going to happen is a feeling you'll never get back again when watching Buffy, which is really sad.

I loved the recaps and promos. I loved hearing "previously on Buffy the Vampire Slayer" or "next week on Buffy..."

gotta agree. Recaps, promos all of it. I miss watching an episode and then just being like ARGGGGGG i wantz moar!

I didn't watch BtVS when it aired, so I don't miss anything about that. 😛

I don't even wish I did watch when it aired, because I don't think, at that age, I'd have appreciated it as much.

I miss the excitement whilst waiting for a new episode to air and the fact that I virtually no idea what was going to happen in each episode, nowadays you get spoilers left, right and centre.

As mentioned - the thrill of waiting for a new episode. Of not knowing what was gong to happen! No spoilers, no nothing, just me and my sis glued to the TV set 🙂

Watching it, then being really excited for the next episode, especially if it was a 2 part one. Staying up and watching the uncut version at night.

a member here called Lizzierainbow, her... 😀 we used to watch new eps together and fangirl over the show.

Yeah, definitely... I miss the anticipation of having to wait til a commercial break was over to find out what was gonna happen, or having to wait a whole week to see a new episode. It was hell sometimes, but also nice.

I miss having all my guesses about what was going to happen with this, or that, in upcoming shows, and feeling like such a fricken genius on the 2, or 3 times I was right, but allowing selective memory over the hundreds of times I was wrong.

Oh, and also coming to BB after the show aired, and joining in the always, already opened, and lively ep discussion.

OMG, welcome back!!! Haven't seen you posting in a while!
I would get SO excited before the episodes! It does not compare on DVD. You had to wait a week and build anticipation. I LOVED this show. 🙂
