So What do you secretly enjoy that you feel a bit a shamed of? maybe something you've heard people call bad or silly.. like a Tv show that you just have to watch or a song/Cd/artist that you just love, even though it might even go against what you normaly like... and so on...

i was thinking about this yeasterday, and want to know what you guys feel/think about the question 😉

Great thread, lexi! But that doesn't mean I'll answer the question....;)
I've never seen that, i don't think they've started sending that here, they prob will though...

tv show: laguna beach on MTV... i don't know what it is, but if i switch it on , while their sending it, i just can't change the station, i gotta watch. And it's not even good :tongue05:

Its called guilty pleasures if you want a shorter title.

But mine would be Mile High. Total trashy crud but so fun.

Footballers Wives, its a trashy show but it has me hooked.

Well, my guilty pleasure is similar to Faith's (although nowhere near as bad! 😉) as i'm a massive fan of Dream Team on Sky One.

As well as that, despite me pretty much only being a fan of rock music, i do have one pop cd in my collection. Girls Aloud. Bad, i know, but i have Cheryl Tweedy obsession. With a body, face and accent like she has i really can't be blamed though! 🙂

I've not seen Dream Team in years, I saw it when it first aired, stopped watching after the second or third season, can't remember which.

Mainly muisc. I am so a rock person. Some times crounty when I'm in the mood to sing and be silly. But I do have a lot of Pop and hip-hop in my cds. The Pop I don't mind that much but as for the hip-hop I really hate that muisc but some how I always end up listening to it. And also singing it to really badly I might add.

But thats all I can think of for now.

Miss Congeniality. Imagine my joy to see it crop up in Friends. Chandler too! I'm not alone!!!!

Oh, and Charlie's Angels. I put those back on my DVD shelf, and my copy of Citizen Kane tries to crawl away, but goddamn, I love them.

TV wise... Oh, I'd have to say... well, Charlie's Angel's again. It's unfeasibly stupid, but look at that hair. Alas, they've stopped repeating that, so I'm left clinging on to Murder, She Wrote. It's always fun trying to see Angela cover up after her trail of violent murderous destruction. Spongebob Squarepants might qualify, but I suspect I might not be in the minority on that one.

I have Miss Congeniality on dvd, so your not alone! I used to love days of late lectures so I could watch Murder, She Wrote, The Father Dowling Mysteries, Quincy and of course Diagnosis Murder.

Oh, you have NO idea what you have missed! It is one of the most convoluted, corny and cliche'd (that a word?) shows on television but it still manages to be brilliant. The acting could, on occasion, be improved but it is still Must See TV in my house every Sunday night, followed by 24 and then Alias on Bravo (well, Bravo +1 anyway). Best telly night of the week currently.

Hm, there are so many movies I could mention, silly ones that I've bought on DVD just because of some actress (that I'm obsessed with at the moment) who happen to appear in the movie...
Plus I used to have this thing for "F***ing à…mål" (or "Show Me Love"... Swedish lesbian teenage movie, sort of, huge success six years ago when it came, lol).

Then there's the music thing, right now I'm not listening anything but my party-play-list. Mostly pretty bad partyhits from the '90s (and some newer ones though).. Hehh..

epo ooo never liked fawlking åmål, but i do remember it was a hit though... but i do like that movie llila 4 ever or what it's called, sad sad sad though, but good.
*eyes widen* WOW my brain went fun places when I read that question.....

Guilty pleasures that are appropriate for a family board...hmmmm ( ) Well there's all the things that make a me a huge geek, like the fact that I watch Star Wars (the original trilogy) through at LEAST once a year. Also, I read LotR once a year...and I LOOOVE the special features on the Extended Edition DVD's not to mention that I adore talk radio...but see, I'm not really ashamed of those.

No, I think my guilty pleasures are The OC (because...well, I don't THINK that I should love a prime-time soap, but I do!) Eminem (because, well, I feel like a feminist shouldn't adore him...but he's all pretty, and a bad boy, and dammit, the man rhymed orange!!!) and VH1's I Love the 80's Strikes Back (I love making fun of the eighties...but I don't really love the eighties) 😉

Liking The O.C. isn't a just guilty pleasure, it's a crime in certain parts of the world! :)

Lol, yeah that's me too, both those things, heh... I just didn't want to mention The OC cause I can't take people complaining about that show, gah, I take it all personal, almost like with BtVS (god I should just stop talking now, how the HELL can I compare The OC to BtVS? God..)....

Gah! It's just... random permutations of male/ female couples!!! Except now they've run out of those, so there's female/ female!! And how are parents younger than their own children?? WHAT THE HELL AGE IS ANYBODY??

The OC leaves me oddly baffled and confused. It's like watching forty five minutes of soothing pastel colours move around the screen...

😀

Which brings me straight to my guilty pleasures. I love hating things other people love. There's something liberating in bashing a show or artist someone else really love. Especially if there's a lot of people out there that love it.

Since day one I've hated The OC, fiercely. Haven't seen a complete episode, but still I know I hate it and I love telling people who love it that I hate it. I'm bad, I'm a bad, bad woman.

you might be a bad woman, ;) but you are Awesomely funny! i HAtE the OC too, i've seen like one eppy and I HATE IT!! i hate the actors and the acting and the storry, and the sepoused "pretty boys " in the show are not very pretty *laughs* and so on
When The O.C first started I was against it, it sounded crap and from the promos I just didn't like it. And then I watched an episode and Seth had me in stitches and alas i'm hooked.

That's what happened to me too...
Yea the OC... I liked until they totally butchered the Alex storyline... So I'm turned off of it... I still watch it, sometimes...
