What do you study?

Film. I want to be an actress/screenwriter/director, mostly on independent horror films and other niche genres. I also would love to be a television writer or show runner.

Am currrently completing a masters in Film and Philosophy, having studied film studies as my undergrad. Would like to do something like film criticisum or screenwriting in the long term.

I really want to go for film studies, but I'm afraid it won't be a "smart" choice, money-wise and such. Any thoughts or advice?

It is a very tough field to break into, (job wise), and I guess a less you get in with an established company etc.. then it is tough to make enough money out of it. In my case I am hopeing that studying at Kings will help my case. I do have a decent CV of experience, but needs that foot in the door which is the tough part, once I get in I like to think that my talent will take care of itself. Guess its just about being persistent. Send me a PM or something I would like to talk more🙂 Depending on what you want to do I can help you or give you advice for sure.

Okay, thank you!
A handful of the people I knew when I was young have successful careers in the film industry. The common denominator is an incredible work ethic. (They're not lacking in talent or intelligence, either.)

Thanks! Well that does give me something to cling onto.
