what do you think of dawn now?

well, dawn's been with us for going on 3 seasons now, s5 s6, and s7. at first, she was a whiny annoying, brat with an annoying smirk.

but now i've got new respect for dawn, ever since she picked up that sword in the s6 finale. since then, she's done more than just run away and yell "buu-FFYYYYYYYYYYYYYY" all the time.

i remember when the bringers stormed the house, she took out more of them then anybody else. and when buffy went to that other dimension recently and the demon came through, she attacked it really bravely. she also handled herself well when she and amanda were attacked in the school.

there are more examples im sure, but i cant think of any now. what i'm trying to say though is that she's come a long way and has earned some respect from me. i was wondering what you guys think of her progress?
 
Dawn has kinda grew on me..... and may i add about the bringers and how she took more out then anyone else.... she was made out of Buffy the slayer.. remember so there fore she must have some type of slayer abilities.... they need to bring out Dawns true essance she need's to be in more fights and discover who she really is.... apart from being the key to all dimensions.... she is soo much more but the writers i feel have neglected her charcter a bit.... if they have a spin-off or if she does'nt die and goes to Angel i'd love her to help out more..... and not just the research geek.......
 
I didn't like Dawn until this season. I thought she was a whiny little brat who thought the world should revolve around her and only her. But this season, she grew up. I like her a lot better now. She's really a great character and Michelle does a great job at it.

I like Dawn this season because she's really a Scooby now -- doing research, using spellbooks, becoming familiar with ancient languages...

Who knows, she may have a future as a Watcher? 🙂
 
I always liked Dawn. First I liked her as merely a necessary rung in a ladder of drama that was being built. I loved seeing her at the beginning of season 5 documenting her life in her diary, when the audience is thinking 'Nice Diary, now who the hell are you?!?!' Now, after Convo's w/Dead people, I like her as a determined and strong individual in her own right.

How strange that the youngest of the scoobies is the oldest of them in truth; even older than Anya. How strange that her and Xander are the most human of the bunch, when she is actually by far the least human. She is a paradox. Yes, I find her character very interesting, and I think there are alot of complexities in her nature that remain to be seen.
 
I never hated Dawn, but she really wasn't one of my favorite characters. I thought she played the typical whinny little sister bit well. Reminds me of my little sister lol

She has began to grow on me this season.
 
I hated her in S5.
I disliked her in S6.
I'm okay with her in S7.

So, she's been doing better, or less bad.

Maybe in time, I will even grow to like her ... one thing btw, I like her better then Buffy, or dislike her less!
