Do you like or dislike Faith and Angel as a potential couple?

Personally, I think they'd be a good couple because they have great chemistry and they seem close.

Well, I prefer them as friends, but I'll admit they'd have made a nice-looking couple. Personally, I think she looked hotter with Spike, though. That scene in the basement in 'Dirty Girls' just DRIPS with sexual tension.

Yeah they were good as friends. But I never really liked Faith and Spike as couple..but yeah.
I would certainly prefer them as friends. If anything, it's a shame that on TV, whenever a guy and a girl have great chemistry together, they end up in bed sooner or later. I wish TV writers were more on the Sally and less on the Harry side. 😉

Whether or not it'll be the couply or the friendshippy type, though, I'm putting a lot of hope into Faingel love as possibly the one thing
capable of redeeming Angel for being Twilight
in the S8 comics

Yeah that! I am immensely annoyed by the general idea that a man and a woman cannot be friends without it all ending either in romance or in heartache.
I can see where people are coming from with Fangel, but I think their relationship is a thousand times better as friends or mentor/student. Faith is too reliant on Angel for a relationship to work - she needs his help in redeeming himself, but what exactly can she do for him?

as for S8, I could name a few things that do involve some seriousl ass-kicking. ^^ but you're right, I'd definitely prefer them as platonic freinds, too :)

I have always said how much I love the relationship between Angel and Faith but only as friends, I don't think this because Faith is too reliant on him however. Angel has always been the only one to wholeheartedly believe in her and give her the time of the day. It doesn't make her completely reliant on him, but hugely grateful to him.

Faith doesn't just need his help in redeeming herself, she needs him to remind her that someone out there believes in her. He's there to encourage her that she is a good person and she could be great if she lets herself.

I disagree that she doesn't do anything to help Angel though. She will always 'help' Angel because he sees so much of himself in her. She acts a reminder that the work he does is worthwhile and that he is good at what he does as well as reminding him that if she is strong enough to keep striving, then so is he.

I love the dynamic that these two have. They would do anything for each other and protect and defend each other with their last breath and it makes it so much more compelling for that it isn't a romantic love that causes them to do that, it is sheer friendship and respect.

Couldn't have said it better myself :)
I agree, I love the dynamic they have as friends. I don't see them together. I see them more as kindred spirits, helping each other on their paths.

Although lately, in terms of imagination, I have thought Faith and Angel as a couple, I mostly prefer them as friends. It is really great that they both respect each other and saved each other's souls!

As a couple, well they would be sexy!!! that's for sure, but I am not sure they match. I see Angel as the more romantic type and Faith just CAN'T get romantic. I don't know if she will change in the future, but she can't make emotional connections with men, yet. With Angel it would be different. He is in her heart, so I don't know how she would behave with him.

that kinda is the point, she could get Angel off his romance trip *gg*
I think they'd make a HOT looking couple for sure but I think they're better off as friends. Partly cause I don't think their personalities click in a romantic sense. I think he's too - deep and emotional for her. He would drive her crazy with the sweet talk.
Also, the last thing she needs is thinking about something else that Buff has had before her. She would always have to wonder if their love was inferior to Bangel love, that as well would mess with her poor head.

definitely agree with ya! especially the sweet talk and hugging! :)
I think, given time, Faith and Angel could make a really great, powerful couple. They have a strong foundation and a LOT of trust, which doesn't come easily to either of them, especially Faith. Angel is probably the only male Faith has ever trusted. They have great chemistry. I could see it developing the way Cangel did, til it got all blown to bits in season 4, only being even more intense because of their backgrounds and the whole slayer/vampire thing.

I don't see any long term potential with Spike and Faith but I would totally love to see them have a fling. They definitely had great chemistry in that basement scene (Buffy certainly picked up on it!), though JM has chemistry with everyone so it's not a huge shock.

I think that Faith and Angel trying to start any sort of romantic relationship would play out pretty much like the disastrous Cordelia/Wesley kissing scene in Season 3 of "Buffy." They would try it and realize immediately that the spark just plain wasn't there. And even if it didn't play out that way, I seriously doubt that Faith would put up with Angel's brooding for very long.

They'd certainly be attractive, but *way* creepy. I've always seen them to have a sort of father/daughter relationship. As a couple they'd just be... icky.

kinda "Biles from the shadows", huh? I think you got a point there, hun.
My ideal Faingel scenario: If/When Buffy dies I could completely see them coming together for comfort, ie lots of dark, angsty sex. They would also make a great team to carry on fight. Their relationship would be built on trust, understanding, and shared loss, and it could grow into a kind of love, though they would never verbalize it to eachother.
