Man, I'm on a thread-making rampage tonight?

Anyway, what do you think of first when you think of each respective season? I'll answer this tomorrow morning. 🙂 Gotta go to bed.
 
You mean...The First compared to the rest of the Big Bads? In general, I think The First was not the best one by far. He's so...intangible and...unkillable. Bleh. I do like when he takes over the image of dead people, though. But I don't like what he does to Spike...poor Spikey, being tortured and all, controlled.
 
I didn't mind the first, he wasn't the best Big Bad around but he wasn't the worse. I did like him in season 7 becuase he added an extra twist by taking the form of dead people, but i think season 7 could have been good with just Caleb as the big bad becuase it would have been a little less confusing (for me) to really get exactly what was going on. There was so much happening I'm sure i missed something very big to the plot and my understanding!
 
S1...bad buffy hair, interesting stand alone episodes
S2...teen drama, introduction of elements with more staying power
S3...strong cast, characters, the show really getting into it's element, having fun, being sassy
S4...confusion, second guessing, some good moments, but reaching too far
S5...more character developement, weak Big bad, but some great moments in character
S6...Spuffy
S7...Ok, let's all grow up now
 
I think he (he? it?) was really stupid. Not just the idea of him. It's just that he's a big talker, almighty force who kept talking and talking about the end. But in the end a bunch of humans (and a vampire) stopped him. He's all talk. The minute they shut him up he's gone from our lives, even though he's not really dead. Now he's nothing. Can he really do something besides scare us to death, and not even that?
 
Season 1- I think of a lot of stand-alones. I never get reminded of an arc or even the Master when I first think of this season. I just think of general Buffy bubblyness.
Season 2- Buffy and Angel. Particularly Innocence and Becoming.
Season 3- The Mayor, Band Candy, Wander, Faith...there's so much I think of for this season because so much great stuff was going on both arc-wise and stand-alone. The show was really in it's element this season in my opinion.
Season 4- I instantly think of Adam and labcoats. In my head season 4 always appears all sciencey....so much so that not even Willow and Tara pop into my head!
Season 5- Family mainly but then that immediately makes my mind go 'death.....sadness....' because like a bad thing happens to like everyone at some point in the season. A great season, but in a sucks-to-be-you way.
Season 6- Musicals. I always think of OMWF first which then leads on to Tabula Rasa. I never think of about the season finale when this season pops into my head, or the bad side of Spuffy...or Hell's Bells. I think I might be in a continent of denial about the bad parts of season 6 due to the uber badness of season 5.
Season 7- Potentials....much like season 1 not much of a theme comes into my head for this season. It goes a little slow at times and it depresses me because it was the last season so I don't watch it too much so that's probably why not too much comes into my head. Ooh, but I feel Christmassy thinking of it since I bought the season 7 boxset at Christmas time and watched it all over the Christmas period, haha.
 
Ok I read this thread like Cryptwarmer and Joyce, its what you think of first about each season, but is that wrong? is it suppose to be about The First?

Season 1 - Bad hair and stand alone episodes.

Season 2 - Teen romance, rocket launchers and when the show really started to get good.

Season 3 - Faith & The Mayor, graduation, Vamp Wilow, Band Candy.

Season 4 - Military, Hush, fear demons and drunk Giles.

Season 5 - The Body, The Gift, the key, Glory and the theme of family.

Season 6 - Season sex, Dark Willow, OMWF & Tabula Rasa.

Season 7 - Pretty spuffy, funny andrew, icky killow and annoying potentials.

lol, not The First, First. It wasn't a typo. 🙂 And, no offense, but if you woulda read the first post... Anyway:
S1: The color blue, The Pack (my favorite epy), bad dressing, bad Buffy hair, The Master, a puppet.
S2: The color red, Angelus, Bangel, Dru, Spike, Xandelia, "There's me..."
S3: Green and Yellow, Faith, Bangel, Oz, The Mayor, Mr. Trick (wonder why...), Buffy and Cordy in dresses, big snake thing.
S4: Gentleman, Gray/White, Tara, Spike tied up in a chair, Adam, Riley.

Ope, school time. Finish later. 😉
 
ok im doing this without looking at others responses because i didnt want them to influence my thoughts.

Season 1: campy. i dunno, thats what comes to mind. i love season 1, btw. the more i watch it the more appreciation i have so"campy" is a good thing!

season 2: Angel turning, of course.

season 3: Graduation.

Season 4: Hush, i guess. And riley as the new romance.... college life.

Season 5: Glory (ick!), Dawn, sort of slow and a lil boring (SOME eps not all)

season 6: bursting out into song! and very emo. (funny how those two things are present in one season. only Joss). the trio and their wonderful humor!

Season 7: lots of random teenage girls, overthrown power, principal wood, an end thats just the beginning. and ANDREW! yay!

1 - Camp. Low budget. Angel introduced. Way too many stand-alones. THE PACK.
2 - School HARD. Halloween awesomeness 🙂 Innocence lost. Angel goes to hell. Bangel.
3 - Starts to get really good. Bangel.
4 - Ruffy... Initiative. Alcohol = Bad. HUSH. TS Eliot comes to TV.
5 - Sisterly love. Sacrifice. OUT OF MY MIND super-hot ending. Spikes story. The awesomeness of Crush. Joyce...
6 - Isolation. Confusion. Release and anger. Music. Amnesia. SPUFFY. Tearing the house down. The briliance of Dead Things. Death by human means. Self-destruction. Rebuilding. Forgiveness. Redemption. Desperation.
7 - Life goes on. Realization. Love. Potentials. Trust and respect. Faith and Buffy finally coming to an understanding. That incredible scene in the church in Beneath You...HIM. "Terrified".
