Say what you thought the scariest or most intimidating monster from the Buffyverse is

Mine is "Death" from the episode killed by death in season 2

Warren. He's a human being, with a soul, which makes it's so disgusting and scary when he tries to rape Katarina(Khatrine?). A demon trying to kill people because it's hungry isn't scary in comparison to a human being who's empty inside.

There's this guy, who seems pathetic, yet a bit likeable and funny. He's a silly geek with crazy dreams of villan-y. Then we see throughout season 6 that he's not good at all. In fact, he might not be capable of any empathy at all.

He could be any guy we meet on the street, or be-friends.

I can't pick a monster that I found the scariest, just a few episodes that had some scary scenes. Like the 3rd episode of season 6 when a monster came back from the afterlife with Buffy and tried to kill her. That was creepy 😛

This. 1000x this. Also, the fact that these people not just could but actually do exist.

Thr Gentlemen, absolutely. The scene with their minions holding that guy down, him trying to scream for help with no sound coming out, and those things just grinning away... makes me shudder every time I see it.

The monsters that have already been said scared me, but I also have to add that I found Gnarl from the episode 'Same time, same place' to be so scary! Especially the way it ate skin. I can't watch that.

As far the monsters go, I was always creeped out by The Gentlemen... The fact that they float and you can't hear them coming, and no one can hear you scream is pretty creepy to me.

However, I agree with Skytteflickan88 that Warren definitely creeps me out too. The fact that there are people like him out there in the world that really do exist makes my skin crawl.

In my eyes the ,ost scaries monster was the ghost of Joyce and the monster above her! The hole episode was so scary!

But there are some other scary monsters too!

Sorry for this long threat I just think it's more impressing with pictures!

The Queller. Oh god, the Queller.

Oh yes I forgot about that one too! The nasty muck he throws up on Joyce's face? EWWWWW!

On the other hand, for one microscopic second I was intimidated by the snake thing Glory conjured up in "Shadow", but then I saw the rubberyness of it and my intimidation went away fast. (Wah, wah, wahhhh.)

Der Kinderstood, especially the way it kills the children. The Gentlemen were creepy as well

This may seem like a strange choice, but off the top of my head the creepiest monster I can think of on the fly is actually the hair metal vampire Buffy was staked by in "Fool For Love." It's not so much the *vampire* really as the shift in tone, however. Buffy's knocking him around, making little quips and being comic relief one-liner Buffy. Then suddenly the vampire turns Buffy's own stake on her and the situation turns deadly serious. All the fun goes out of the scene in a heartbeat, and this ordinary run-of-the-mill vampire stops being the butt of a joke and becomes a vicious threat.

The thought of The Beast hunting me down is somewhat frightening...but in truth, he'd probably just chase me down, remove a few of my toes, and then make us a pot of tea.

Kindestod, I think his name was, (Killed by Death) freaked me out the most. I'm not a huge fan of hospitals.

The gentlemen! And the thing in the ceiling above Joyce! I think those were the only two episodes I was scared. I had to look away, and as I was watching Btvs by myself the first time I had noone to tell me when it would be over, so I kept scaring myself when I had to look to see what was going on. 😀

The first one that comes to mind is the creepy one in "Killed by Death." I don't think I ever fully watched what that monster DID to its victims.
Also, the Gentlemen from "Hush", The Gnarl, and the Queller are all scary or gross or both.
