What do you want to do when you grow up? What do you want your career to be? What are you working towards? If you are already grown and have a profession, what is it?

I want to do something in the arts. I'm going to do American Idol this summer, so I'll wear a big yet stylish Buffy shirt so you all know who to vote for, LoL. If not a singer, I wanna be an actor. I've been doing church and school plays since I was 7. I was going to be an extra on One Tree Hill, but I got pnemonia and I couldn't go. I also want to be a producer. I love to write, and work with other actors. So, I probably want to either produce a scary or supernatural movie. If none of those things work out, or by the time I get to old and they don't work out, I think I want to do some sort of social work because I want to help people.

Uh *thinks about this* Well I'm plannin to stay on at high school then attend either 1) My local college (which is Falkirk) for two years then go to Art College or 2) Go straight to Art College. I then plan to either be 1) Graphic Designer 2) Architech 3) Anythin to do with, well, art lol Cos I'm like one of the highest scorers in my art class currently (woo lol) so my teacher said I should go to art college...and I was plannin to do that anyway so ya know lol

Parker if you want to sing kareoke go on american idol if you want to be an artist people will laugh at you.

Angels girl - great to see somone else who gets donnie darko 🙂

Angels girl - i love Donnie Darko, great film!

Parker with regards to what i want to do in life, i'm totally not doing it. I'm a Personal Assistant, but what to work in radio, did it back home (in Sydney for 6 months, was Entertainment Report). When I get back to Oz I hopefully will get back into it, but that won't be for another year..........OMG am totally rambling sorry everyone!!

Angel's Girl - atleast you have a set plan down, I'm not sure where I should go and what to do.

faldor - well, not saying ill win, because most likely i wont, it would just be a good experience and a stepping stone towards a career in the arts.

dizzy - working on the radio is cool.

i want to be an interior designer ether that or a computergames designer. im at college taking AVCE art and A/S graphics. i done GNVQ art last year and the year before that GCSE. and i may take up textiles next year... still not sure about that yet. i jst want to do something art and stlyish... i dont want to work in an office!

We can take an interior design class at our High School. I'm not taking it obviously, loL. not many people want to work int he office, i dont think.

thats kewl, im currently working in a clothes shop, which is sooooo boring. but just down the road the is a lil interior fabric shop so i may go in a check it out 🙂 id rather work there.

As long as you are happy with what you are doing, then go for it. Money isn't a big issue with me. I'm not into expensive stuff anyway so I don't care how much money I make as long as I get food on the table and all that stuff.

I'm working towards the whole actress thing. I don't have time now in between school, piano, and voice lessons. But I'm going to do a theatre program over the summer. I'm looking at liberal arts colleges, mostly in the northeast, and after I graduate I intend to move to california to pursue film. I also want to work while in college. I have a long way to go...

Yup. Actors usually have a lot of work ahead of them. But if you work hard enough, I know you can reach your goal.

When I grow up I want to be...dammit, I am all growed up and with no ambition to call my own, except for my family and I to be healthy and happy🙂

Good luck with your ambitions, you youngsters. I hope you all get what you want - but if that fails stick with the "healthy/happy" thing...

Good luck with American idol parker i will be voting for you hun..

As for me im planning on moving to L.A and getting a part on Angel my Agent is already trying to get me an audition we can but hope *fingers crossed*... 🙂

Faldor and Dizzy: Hell yeah! Glad to find some people who love the film lol It's my second favourite film lol

Parker: It's my set plan for now lol Hopefully I can make it happen

I'm planning on going to college and hopefully become a concert pianist. If not that, I would like to be a director or producer. I write quite a bit, so maybe get some of my stuff published. All I know for certain is that I want to have a great job in the arts.

I ever since I can remember I knew I wanted to write for the rest of my life. But I think, I'm not exactly a great writer when it comes to most things. If I took my time and put thought into writing, I'd be a little more than acceptional at it. I've been reading columns on tvguide.com everyday for the best couple years, because my second love is anything to do with television. It's what I live for, so why not write about what I love? I want to be a television/movie critic just like the people who write for tvguide.com and TV Guide... I just loooove them.

Parker Summers... now I have a reason to actually watch the next American Idol (kinda hate that show otherwise lol).

PS - I love Donnie Darko too.😛

sexy_babe - ill look for you on Angel lol

miss_world - how long have you been doing piano for?

Oz - I should do something really weird so that you know it's me, like I'll throw a stake at simon or something.

what is this Donnie thing you guys are talking about?

Yay another person likes it woo! lol And Parker, Donnie Darko is a movie lol In my sig it features three of the characters from the movie: Donnie, Gretchen and Frank (The Evil Bunny! woo lol God I so love Frank lol) Oh and the quote in my sig also, is from the hit single "Mad World" by Michael Andrews and Gary Jules (the song for the movie Donnie Darko 😛) It's my favourite line in the song

I've been playing and taking lessons for piano for about 12 years. I'm in my high school's jazz band and recently played for the pit for our production of Les Miserables. I simply adore playing. *sigh*

Angel's girl - the evil bunny looks familiar. hm..

miss_world - 12 years is a long time. you must be pretty good.
