You know that movie James Marsters was supposed to star in. I heard that the funding for the film was pulled so the whole thing was put on hiatus. Then I heard they got the money and the movie was going to be made, but I haven't heard any news about the film for awhile. Anyone know what the story is?

There have been a lot of rumors floating around about this movie. So many, that I'm too confused to tell you what's what. I don't have a clue anymore.

This project appears to be stalled if not dead. If you go to the Venetian Heat webpage it has the cast listed as "to be annouced".

I think it's also hard for James to leave "Angel" right now as well. Very hard to do 2 things at one time.

Umm...I doubt that he would have to leave Angel. Working on a series is hard, hard work but isn't year 'round. In fact he should be looking for work beyond Angel. Angel is near the end of it's run. If they are lucky, they'll get one more year and then bye-bye. That's why I'm into the audio books he is narrating, the Dresden Files ( Sotm Front, Fool Moon by Jim Butcher). The Dresden Files have been optioned for either tv or movies. I could SO see him in the lead.SpikedBuffy said:

I too am a very big Harry Dresden/Jim Butcher fan and would love to see JM in the role of Harry on TV or a movie.
