Average plot, serial killer vs super cop Jolie, but good cast - Angelina Jolie, Ethan Hawke, Kiefer Sutherland, Gena Rowlands, a very young Paul Dano, Oliver Martinez... Not the best, but wouldn't mind watching again.

We've watched the two Sonic the Hedgehog movies, so that we could watch the Knuckles show on Paramount Plus. Not great movies, but fun family films. The show was also charming, and had a heartfelt message about finding your home and family.

Sonic the Hedgehog - 6/10 Jim Carey is doing his classic Jim Carey over the top, comedy performance, and it kind of works here. The main problem is the plot is too generic. Villain wants heroes power. Blah.
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 - 7/10 I like the addition of Knuckles and Tails, but I think Carey's performance has worn out it's charm in this movie. It's just a bit too much, and the ending is too "cartooney". One plus is we get less of the human characters and more backstory about Sonic's world.

Abigail (2024) 6/10: Very ho-hum vampire comedy-horror which takes ages to get to its premise and is, sadly, also incredibly predictable throughout. Elevated by good performances by a talented cast and a comedic amount of gore.

Sting (2024) 7/10: A heartwarming tale of a family growing closer as their tenement is terrorized by a giant spider from outer space. This had a very retro 80's creature-feature vibe with some humor and nice performances from a generally unknown cast.
