What Happened to Amber?

Yesterday, I decided to start a BtVS rewatch, because I honestly love this show and I wanted to remember why.

Today, I got to 'Witch', and Amber, the Burning Cheerleader. She never made the sqaud because her hands caught on fire and we never hear from her again. Assuming the burns healed with little or no side effects, what do you think happened to her?

Willow says that she turned down a spot on the Laker's squad, did she go back to that? Did she make it to the team after all?

Probably that or she just decided she'd had enough of Sunnydale High. The likelihood of unwanted flame-hands can be a massive turn off when considering where you want to study.

Yeah, but the flame hands weren't the result of living on the Hellmouth - they were the result of a witch who wanted to be a cheerleader. Witches don't just exist in Sunnydale, so she runs the risk of running into one wherever she is.

I think she'd be pissed that she missed out on getting on the squad because of an accident. She seemed very driven and obviously practiced a lot, so I think she'd probably move somewhere she could get on a squad without having to audition or wait.

Though, saying that, don't the Laker Girls have an age limit? I can't see them letting an underage girl on the squad.

There are ao many characters in Season 1
That I always felt they should have fleshed out in Season 2 and 3. We never hear anything from any more of their Season 1 classmates other than Harmony.

She was turned into a man, recruited by vengeance demons and fought Spike in a cave 5 years later, after Amys moms spell gave her the power to light her hands on fire....

Its just a case of some many characters and so little time for me. Some characters are just meant to have role in a one off episode and that is all.
