What happened to Dark Willow when she reappeared in the comics and also in the Boom comics?

Dark Willow appears mainly in the future 'Fray-verse' of the Buffy comics and plots to bring Buffy forward in time and confront her.

It's a whole big thing where Willow is basically an immortal magic being, all her friends are dead and gone and she wants to die; more importantly she wants Buffy to kill her.
So yeah, still pretty much 'emo nihilism incarnate' then.

But by the end of S12 the Frayverse has been completely altered by events in Buffy's current time and, as far as we can tell, Willow remains Willow.
 
Thank you for your answers guys. Dark Willow is a favourite character of mine I like from Buffy. I wonder if other characters like Oz, Cordelia, Angel, Drusilla, Riley or any other characters didn't come met DW came across her in the comics or at least learned about her.

She also channels her dark powers in S8 to fight off Amy. She pretty casually uses that sort of stuff in a big battle every once in awhile from what I remember.

This I cannot confirm. I want to say there was some potential threat of it in the Willow mini they did, but it’s been so long since I’ve read it that I’ve forgotten.
 
If some folk here want to think that the comics are somehow related to the TV series, that is up to them. Personally I do not think the comics are anywhere where near as good as the TV series. Renaming Willow to be Dark Willow in S6 proves the point that the writers had lot the plot and if there was a S8 on the TV the series Buffy The Vampire Slayer would have had that many beloved actors bonking vampires, the show would have been lost its dignity as a beloved show.
