What happened to Lorne?

I thought he said pretty clearly that he's leaving because it's not his kind of work anymore. Angel asking him to kill Lindsey might have something to do with it!

There's more about him in the comics but the few that I've looked at didn't seem like Angel at all to me. 🙁 I almost wish they hadn't done them!

^^ Right, what they said.
Although, assuming that the ATF comics hadn't happened.....I have often wondered what exactly Lorne would have done, given the ending of the show.

Would he have just gone to a bar and watched as what was apparently all hell breaking loose happened? Maybe hopped a "red-eye" to England (cute pun huh)?
As much as I understand the THEORY behind his saying he was going to leave because of what Angel made him do, it still kinda irks me a tad.

1.) I just think it was lame of Angel to have Lorne kill Lindsey. Sure, it really ticked Lindsey off and I assume that was the point, to blindside him and really make him mad. But, it was asking too much of Lorne, who as far as I can remember never killed anything else. Or if he did, it wasn't random not so nice people.
2.) Lindsey wasn't all that BAD! He let Spike and Dru live a LONG time. He even HELPED Faith! But, LINDSEY was so awful he couldn't co-exist on a planet with him during a giant battle that he probably could have used an extra hand in? RIGHT! *KONK for Angel*

but mostly, 3.) I don't see Lorne holding Angel's stupid decision against the rest of the gang. He liked Spike, Illyria, Wes and Gunn just fine. I don't see him letting all of them battle to their deaths in the alley just because Angel did something.... "Konkworthy" <==== See my new word?

Yeah, the way Lindsey was killed really disturbed me. But I'm sure there is some thread somewhere about this....possibly titled:

How Messed Up Was It For Angel To Ask Lorne To Kill Lindsey?

🙂

i actually felt sort of sad for lindsey. first and foremost, he was a pawn of wolfram and hart doing the things he did. then angel goes and cuts off his hand, i think id have a vendetta too. and yeah he came back to mess with them but really to mess with the senior partners more. and then he doesnt even get that death he felt he deserved, at the hands of angel, if anyone. like, my heart kind of broke for the guy when he died because i think he was just confused and angry.... and was trying to get back at the people who did him wrong, angel and the senior partners alike.

and man thats for a whole nuther thread. sorry to ramble off there lol.

I felt bad for Lindsey too.

I almost felt bad too, but let's all remember the Keith Urban look Lindsey was trying to pull this season... he deserved it.
I am also disturbed by Lindsey's death at the hands of Lorne. It was so out of nowhere to me that Lorne, of all "people" would be the one to do that kind of...i don't know...dishonorable deed. On the other hand, I sort of like it *because* it was disturbing. Does that make me a freaK? Gosh I hope so!! 😀

He made a good choose that he desided to leave the final battle...but who knows he could have died we shall never no sadly 🙁

Having Lorne kill a guy because he might pose a future threat? Angel is not very good at being ambiguous. His idea of being ambiguous seemed to be crossing the line. And Lorne was a fool for being a murderer for hire. I have no sympathies for him.
