That is pure assume, don't make it out like fact.
All we know is there was something unfortunate that happened between a crossbow, miss kitty and dawn(who very probably only left it out of its box).

Miss Kitty Fantastico huh? Something upsetting happened involving Dawn, Miss Kitty Fantastico, and a crossbow left laying carelessly about. Hmm...what could it be?

The crossbow fell and frightened Miss Kitty. She ran out an open door, and was never seen again...or...the loaded crossbow fell, went off, spranged across the lower six inches of the kitchen, caught Miss Kitty behind the left ear, and sprongggg...pinned her to the fridge door like a post-it.
