What happened to the Claddagh ring?

The ring that Angel gave Buffy, last time we saw it Buffy put it down on the floor at the mansion, then Angel fell from "heaven" on his bare bottom. We haven't seen the ring again, ever. It was never even mentioned. Did it stay at the mansion? Did Angel find it while living there? Did Buffy try to get it back? And what does it tell us about the two?

They never mentioned it again, but I like to think that Buffy got it back and kept it in a special jewelry box. Right beside Spike's skull ring from "Something Blue."

Oh my god, you just cleared up something for me! The ring Spike gave to Buffy was a skull ring?? So it WAS his, probably from his own finger. I was wondering where it appeared from, I thought it was a random ring that appeared from nowhere!
