What happened with Principal Wood?

I think I missed that part but if I remember me right he doesn't appear in Season 8 of Buffy! Did he died in the end of season 7 (I don't think we saw this there)? Or is there a special comic serie about him?

I just missed him in season eight!

Faith is in Cleveland, watching over that second Hellmouth. She talks with Robin Wood on the phone, calling him her ex. Turns out he wants her to take care of a problem for him - a single mother of six was turned and then turned all her small children. It was brief but very emotional, and left Faith with yet another scar in the wake of another broken relationship.

Although he appears breafly in season 8, he's disappereance isn't explained well enough so, to my eyes, PLOT HOLE.

I agree with david4wt but I can understand what you mean. It's something like a half plot hole because it doesn't make any sense. They don't give us a good solution where he is and why he is there. I started with season 8 and was very surprised when in season 7 Wood appeared. I just didn't noticed him in season 8.

"Why he is there"- do you mean why he is in Cleveland or why he appears in the comics at all? I do realize that you started with the comics before you watched the series. If you're asking "Why in Cleveland?", well I'm guessing that it's because there is a hellmouth there and they need folks there to monitor its activity & fight the beasties. Maybe he & Faith even went there together, I'm not sure. As to why he's mentioned in season 8 at all, I think it's mostly about Faith. I don't think that most fans are that interested in him by himself (sure, he's the son of a Slayer and he had that thing with Spike). But he & Faith had an attraction, more of that was promised, and since Faith herself was changing, seeing how she deals with a potential real relationship was interesting. And of course the big reason for his appearance in season 9 is
Buffy's pregnancy
. But the character himself? No, I'm not disappointed he didn't get more panel time in season 8, he didn't interest me that much.
 
Yea, I was also surprised he didn't appear more in S8. His character wasn't that important, but still it would have been nice to have a little side story about him in Cleveland. 🙂 I'm glad
he'll be back in s9.
