What Happens To You When You Watch the Finales

I dont get goose bump becuz my dvd is in my language which sounds funny when Buffy said. But I'm not funny. 🙁

Chills... tears... chills... sobs... chills... more tears! Chosen gets me every single time! And it's not the only episode. I get chills at a lot of scenes but especially these ones...

*Becoming Part II - When Buffy catches the sword in her hands
*The Prom - "Buffy Summers, Class Protector"
*Graduation Day Part II - The ENTIRE final battle
*Hush - When Buffy and Riley have their weapons pointed at each other
*Family - "If you want to take Tara out of here against her will you gotta go through me" & "We're family"
*The Gift - When she realizes what she has to do
*OMWF - "Heaven"
*Bring On The Night - "We just became an army"
*Showtime - "Welcome to thunderdome"
*Chosen - A lot! But I get a HUGE chill when they all become slayers!

It just seems no matter how many times I watch Buffy, the big moments still hit me really hard! I love it!

I generally cry. And occasionally laugh. That's about all I do...Not ever, but when watching season finales. 😉

Well, for season finales, when I'm pretty sure that the series is going to be back the next year, there's a kind of mixture of impatience and anticipation. Impatience for the re-runs to be over so the next season can begin, and anticipation for the new season to begin, especially if it's like the Season 5 or 6 ending of "Buffy."

For series finales, it pretty much depends on the individual ending. If all of the loose ends are pretty well caught up or there's at least a logical stopping point in the current story, like there was at the end of Season 7, I certainly feel a sense of loss, but I've had too many favorite shows end over the years to get really heart broken over it (I can sense the angry grumbles beginning to rise in volume already.) Besides, there are always DVD's and HULU.Com.

If the series finale is a cliffhanger or there are just too many questions left unanswered, the way Season 5 of "Angel" was, I feel equal parts angry and betrayed. I know that in real life questions are quite often never answered, but I don't watch a show like "Buffy," or "Angel," or "Highlander," or "Dark Angel," or quite a few others I've had to say goodbye to over the years to see realism. I watch to see a story that has a beginning, a middle, and an end. I'm just funny that way. I can accept Crockett, Bowie, and the rest dying in whatever version of "The Alamo" I happen to be watching or reading at the time, because the story is concluded. I watch the show, including sitting through the sponsor's asinine little commercials, and I sometimes even buy their products. I don't think that it's too much to ask in return to be given an actual ending to the story in return.

Yeah, chills and crying. I also get this weird sensation too that I can't put a name to. It is either a feeling of completeness or longing or something that I get when ever something comes to an end. I react differently depending on the season, but that feeling is always there for each one, especially Chosen.

I've got the "Chosen" music on my ipod and when I play it, I imagine the various scenes while saying things out loud like "Yeah! Kick their ******-******* ***!" No one else in the car, of course.

Wow!! I do the exact same thing :D
I alway feel really tense and anxious and physically sick, but i get that alot. I always feel that its not moving fast enough either like the episode's in slow-mo.

I feel empowered actually. "So take your choice... Are you ready to be strong ?" It's... yeah, empowering, I can't find another word for that !

Re:

I believe the first time I watched "Not Fade Away" I was left LITTERALY standing on the edge of my couch screaming "You have GOT to be F***ING kidding me!?"

I cry at most at some point but I'll go through all and let you know (because I have no life and I like it!)

Prophesy Girl - Cry when Buffy dies, rejoice when she beats him back down, laugh when they decide to party

Becoming Part 2 - Yell when Xander lies to Buffy, feel pride when Buffy stops the sword, cry when she has to kill Angel

Graduation Day Part 2 - swell with unnamed emotion when they all fight, rejoice when they blow up the school, understand when they take a moment

Restless - just love everything and fully understand the character stories

The Gift - Cry for joy when "I will always find you", cry for sympathy when Spike gets thrown off, Cry for Buffy and Dawn when she jumps, and cry harder when Spike breaks down

Grave - cry for willow when she breaks down, cry for happiness when buffy sees the world as beautiful again

Chosen - So many emotions through the whole thing, happy at "The Harvest" callback, cry at the scene when Buffy tells Spike she loves him and throw things when he says she doesn't (though I understand why), Smile when Buffy Smiles (The whole Anya thing makes me cry too and I'm moved when Willow's hair turns white)

To Shanshu in LA - proud of Cordelia, hopeful for Angel

No Place Like Plrtz Glrb - more Cordelia pride, feel along with them that 'there's no place like home', happy for Fred, cry at Willow's sad eyes and Angel's realization

Tomorrow - even more Cordelia pride, sad they didn't get to talk, anxious because Conner just doesn't understand

Home - feel horribly bad for Conner, proud of Angel for helping him, totally bittersweet

Not Fade Away - happy their still fighting, totally bittersweet, cry for Lindsey

As if you all cared, but I'd like to pretend you did
