I am very curious what would of happened if Angel hadn't of taken the deal..
1, Would he of managed to save Conner in time..?
2, Would Cordy of "wroken" up from her coma..?
3, Would he of been able to find out about the thorn..?
Personnally i doubt the above would of happend..except The Cordy bit, maybe the Partners would of tried some other nasty tatic to blackmail Angel with...So discuss..?

Hmmm....I think that Cordy would still be alive and there would be no Illyria obviously!

I think that there would be a great change. Who would be a big bad?

I think there still would have been an Illyria. Probably not in the show, though. But I'm sure Knox would have found somebody else to use as a body. 🙂

1, Can't know
2, Can't know
3, this came in Vision Form so obviously the PTB's wanted him to know, so they would have found a way

but seriously.

i have to believe that Angel would have saved his Son somehow, i mean he was his hope, his future.
Cordy would have been given her last reprieve, simply because she had to have a proper farewell and the BlackThorn were part of the PTB's plan.

I would like to think if the Angel Investigations team hadn't joined Wolfram & Hart, Fred would still be alive.

The first time I saw it, I thought that Team Angel was sort of selling out by taking the deal and that losing Fred was part of the price. Now I don't know.

It's all alternative Buffyverse history of course, but proceeding along these lines of thought:

What would have happened to Buffy and gang in Sunnydale if Lilah hadn't given the amulet to Angel? And going from there, where would Spike figure in the picture during that last year?

In the actual story, Angel tells Lilah that Buffy can take care of herself with or without his help, maybe that's true. But things sure would have been different!

i guess that if angel hadn't joined W&H that cordy would be alive and helped angel saving connor. and i think that the PTB will find a way to show angel about the thorn.

Why would cordy have been alive? She died becasue of the season 4 storyline not from anything to do with Angel taking over WR&H?

maybe she could wake up naturaly, not having a vision. and she could help in the final battle. it's only a possibility.

I kinda think you are missing the point of what happened to Cordelia.

The Vision isn't what woke her up, it wa\s her last request because she was going to die.
There was no 'natural wake up', Cordelia's life had ended, but due to everything that happened, the PTB's gave her that chance to say goodbye and put her 'guys' back on the right path.

One could argue its because Angel was at W&H that Cordelia got even that, as his time at W&H made him doubt himself, so by granting her last wish, the PTB's got their 'Champion' back.

First I just want to say that I loved Season 5. It was great, having the team run Wolfram and Hart. Yet, having said that I think they sold out. Granted they (especially Angel) didn't really have to many other options (to save Connor I mean), but I think that they sold out and the price was Fred's life.

true dat
I really did not see the point of cordy or fred's death..sure illyria was cool and everything..but her I just loved the way it was..I was really hoping that cordy would wake up..and it would be all fine and dandy then..but then..I also hoped that there would have been an s6. *sigh*

What kind of a show would it be, if there was no sadness. It just wouldn't be Angel without the death and destruction.
