What if Buffy, Angel, and Spike just had an eternal threesome?

I can see there being some of this in their relationship for sure, but I don't think that means Dru isn't happy with getting the attention of both Angel and Spike. She always seems to find their sniping at each other over her/Angel goading Spike pretty entertaining. It's hard to say how much of that is because of an acceptance that this is the way her relationship with Angel is expected to be and how much is just because she will just do as she pleases and she prefers to be with Angel too. Where the line falls is definitely murky, Dru is Angel's greatest creation after all.

As for the actual question of the thread, the answer is no. Spike doesn't like to share, but also he'd obviously previously suggested having a 2 girls and him threesome to Harmony before (possibly multiple times) because when she thinks Drusilla is a lookalike in Crush, she says to him "You'd better not be thinking what I think you're thinking. 'Cause my answer is the same as always. No threesomes unless it's (gestures to Spike) boy, (gestures to the air) boy, (gestures to herself) girl. Or Charlize Theron."

If Spike was open to having another male in a threesome, then he and Harmony would've been having threesomes.

Interesting point regarding his disinterest shown there in a m/m/f grouping, I'd never thought of that.

Obviously things are a bit different with Harmony because he doesn't care about her and isn't interested in having a loving relationship with her, so whether he'd even want another female to join him/Buffy is separately questionable.
 
I can't see the threesome working in the long run - Angel & Spike were so jealous of each others' relationship with Buffy that I expect they wouldn't much like to share 😉

Dru was still very hands on with Spike after he was wheelchair bound, even with Angelus on the scene. Angelus even says that Dru gives Spike "pity access". He's also that one that declines Dru's invitation to Spike about going hunting at the end of IOHEFY and he also pulls Dru away from Spike when they are going to get Acathla. It seems to bug Angelus just how close Spike and Dru still are. Also the fact that not once does Spike blame Dru for sleeping with Angelus, his anger is directed exclusively at Angelus, yet he is quick to call Dru out when she cheats on him with the Chaos demon, which suggests he's not blind to her transgressions and will assign the blame where it is due.

I don't think he would want anyone to join him with Buffy (or Dru) because he wants to have their sole attention.......though he could always solve that problem by having a threesome with Buffy and Dru lol, that would be the new best day of his life. 😛

I can see where you are coming from, and I really am not ruling out that Angel has Dru very certain of what he expects from her. But my reading still leans towards Dru being pretty happy in that role with Angel. As I say, it is hard to know where the line is of what is expected of her and what she actively likes to participate in. It always seemed to me that she (and Angel) really do consistently find amusement/enjoyment in Spike's jealousy and frustrations. I also don't think Spike would necessarily challenge Dru over Angel the same as he would a random indiscretion anyway. The Chaos demon is humiliating for him but he can be sure it is about him still, it is likely to be a reaction to something going array between them, a sign of Dru's unhappiness with him. Angel I think Spike understands is very different because he knows it is also about Angel too and he doesn't want to hear a direct comparison between himself and Angel which makes him personally feel 'less'. Angel is a real rival/threat to his relationship with Dru because Angel is someone Dru can choose over him even if he isn't doing anything wrong per se. I think the dynamics between all the four vamps are very complex and layered, which is why I don't think it is just solely that Angel has Dru trained to respond as he wants.

The difference between what Spike unsouled and souled saw as his best night I think raises a big question mark over the idea a sex romp could beat the latter when it would diminish that personal intimacy between them which meant so much to him by another person's presence. 🙂

I wasn't saying I personally thought it was questionable whether Spike would want to go there with him and Buffy. I was really just acknowledging that there was a precedent if he was interested in a threesome with Harmony. But the situation is very different because he was in that relationship for sex, not an emotional connection, and he was unsouled then too so his boundaries of what he'd consider acceptable in a loving relationship have shifted. I really don't think he'd actually want a threesome as part of a relationship that matters to him emotionally, so I agree he wouldn't want to share Buffy's attention.

Oh I agree about Dawn. Unless Buffy is in there obviously. I think Tara is a different kind of attractive though, she is very beautiful but not necessarily hot in the sense that I'd want to see her in a threesome/ foursome.

I just think she's more the person you fall in love with then someone you just want to roll around the hay with. Whereas women like Willow present both possibilities.

Buffy's death might be natural causes (old age) in which case Willow wouldn't be able to bring her back plus Willow would be an old lady too unless she did an anti-aging spell on herself every few years, in which case theoretically Willow could live forever.
