What if Buffy got bitten by a werwolf?

I just watched the episode inwhich the Scoobie Gang discovers that Oz is a werwolf.

Now my question: What would happen if Buffy got bitten(?) from a werwolf. Would she turn into one too? Or not? Or would there be a uper-werwolf? Any thoughts?

I think she would have to give up slaying for a night and room with Oz in the library cage. But over time I think she would learn how to control it like Oz did and maybe even use her new form to her advantage.

There's nothing in the Slayer metabolism, as far as we know, that would prevent a Slayer from becoming a werewolf, so, yeah, she wouldn't be doing much paroling on full moon nights. Werewolves are apparently very rare in the Buffyverse, though. Throughout 7 seasons of her show and 5 seasons of Angel's, we only saw Oz. his nephew or cousin, the girl from Season4, whose name escapes me right now, Nina, and the werewolf who bit her. Considering the number of vampires and other assorted demons lurking about, they're almost as rare as Suvolte demons.

I would be willing to bet that, at some time in the past, some Slayer did, in fact, get bitten, and standard Watcher policy would have been to kill her before the first transformation, in order to have an uninfected girl on the job. They seemed to consider Slayers as generally a disposable commodity anyhow.

harsh and depressing, but most likely true from what we've seen of the CoW. :(
She would have heck of a time trying to shave her legs a few days out of the month...😛

In all seriousness my opinion is summed up as seen above. I think that the Watcher's Council would have been pretty trigger-happy had that come to pass. They knew that there was always a new girl waiting to be called and a Slayer/werewolf seems as a rather bad mix... it's sad but judging with how they dealt with Faith, a mere rogue Slayer, I don't think a 'half-breed' so to speak would have made them think twice. They would probably just have placed her in the 'enemy' category the second it happen.

Aww... She has enough to worry about as it is. A hairy slayer is better then no slayer. :)

I agree with all the points mentioned. Its just sad that the Council, like the Initiative, thought in such black and white terms. If Buffy could control her new werewolf, like Astral said she would have been even stronger in her battle against evil. Imagine her just being able to partly shift her hands into claws, she could decapitate a vamp without ever needing to use a stake again.

I think she might look a little different from your normal werewolf though, only because Slayers were made with a bit of darkness added to the mix 🙂

I totally agree with this. I think the Watcher's Council would have seen a werewolf slayer as a threat and they would have "taken care of" the problem before the first transformation ever happened. They're cold and cruel that way.

I agree but it would take more than the Watcher's Council to "take care" of Buffy. Especially Werewolf Buffy.

Imagine a werewolf with stakes for claws!
