How do you think this would have affected Angel?

Do you think some of the Buffy cast would wish to continue with their characters and migrated over to Angel? If so who?

Would Joss have made a musical Angel episode since he never got to do it in Buffy?

Would Spike be brought in earlier?

Would it have even made it to Season 5?

I don't think that Joss Wheedon could have pulled Buffy after Season 5. There were still too many loose ends. However, I remember my father saying that he was severly confused after Season 5's ending. I just don't think Joss Wheedon could have terminated the serious without causing serious revolt among fans. There was still too much to tell. I could even imagine that people would have started to boycott Angel and it just wouldn't have worked out.

If Wheedon gave the show a more definite ending than it had after Season 5, he might have considered it, to focus on Angel. I suspecht, they would have found ways of keeping some of the Buffy guys as extras for Angel alive. Spike maybe and perhaps also Xander and Anya. But I'm not sure, as Angel mainly focussed on the problems of being an adolescence and not being a teenager growing up, which was Buffy's main focus.

Interesting, I hadn't thought of that. I guess I assumed it could happen since so many people wish it had ended there but probably only have that opinion in retrospect. Considering they disliked S6/7 enough to wish they didn't exist, however if it had ended in Season 5 they wouldn't have known that so would probably be craving more. What loose ends are you referring to though? It seemed abrupt but still with a bow tied around it. I mean Xander/Anya & Willow/Tara were pretty solid at this point, I'd guess Giles would leave and Spike/Dawn would have just stayed. I guess they would have some kind of explanation as to what is happening in Sunnydale mentioned somewhere in Angel.

Geez, Angel wouldn't stand a chance!! they were all wrapped up in this Darla stuff....
Spike was unbelievebly funny in Angel, but I doubt we would've gotten to WR & H, and that would've upset me
Ugh, and angel musical episode? the horror, the horror *recalls Angel's rendition of Barry Manilow's "Mandy"*
I seriously doubt it would've made it to S5, really.
