And all genders in the show are reversed?

Who could play male Buffy? Female Giles? The Willow boy and the vamp girls?😀
 
I'd like the hair colors to stay the same. Also the plotlines would change and people's prospective of characters would change. Would a female Xander being jealous of Buffy and Angel's relationship read more sympathetic? Would a male Willow yelling at a female Xander after catching her and male Cordelia kissing be called "slut shaming" and Nice Guy tm? A male Faith attempting to rape/murder a female Xander would probably appear more disturbing and I can't see the show ignoring the aftermath like they did with a male Xander. A female Spike attempting to rape a male Buffy would look less disturbing and people would end up mocking male Buffy for taking issue with it.

I think in the actual show, the rape/murder attempt also had strong effects on Xander. His confrontation of the bomb zombie gang and the Mayor could be read as suicidal instead of heroic, all because of the psychological destruction Faith brought to him.

In this theory, he healed himself gradually in the male strip club before "The Freshmen".

But seriously that tiny smile he throws at Jack with "I like the quiet" - pretty suicidal, also sleeping outside where vampires can snack on him??

However, both incidents have happened before Faith's attack. So...

Faith's first sexual activity with Xander in "The Zeppo" wasn't that gentle either. It definitely ruined his manly pride.

Well, she did kick him out when he wanted to snuggle, not very ego boosting, and the poor thing still thought they had a connection.

Do you think the class protector award that male Buffy will receive would still be a very glittery umbrella? And would male Willow be female Xander's bride's maid? Also, male Buffy and male Willow attempting to braid female Xander's hair while watching Indian movies... and speaking of that episode, would college frat girls kidnap male Buffy and male Cordelia to sacrifice them to a vagina like demon? And how will the college frat jerks humiliate female Xander who will crash the party for orgies and to protect male Buffy of course 😀
 
It's often said that boys mature more slowly than girls. At 15, would a young man be as ready to take on the Slayer gig as a 15 yr old girl? Just musing, not sure if the popular wisdom is true.

A Jenny Calender type Watcher might well convince him...I can imagine lots of her students being hot for teacher.

I would have cast a young Heath Ledger as, wait, what are we calling the male Buffy? Because that's pretty important...something unexpected and a bit dweeby sounding..Wesley? or do we need something more California surfer boy? I looked up dweeby names for boys, one suggestion was Gilbert. Another one was Cooper, I sorta like that.

Do you think we should just switch Darla and Dru into Angel and Spike's roles, or would we need to recast those characters completely?

What would the implications be of a 16 yr old boy vamp slayer getting together with a much older woman? Would that fly with an audience? I'm thinking it might be quite the draw.
 
Daryll as the one who turned an eager Angela. Angela as the one who tortured Drew into insanity. Willa, innocent and sheltered, turned by Drew who chose her as his forever companion - but enjoying some quality private time with Angela (ala TGIQ).

Now Biff and Angela - whole new dynamic!

You know, Angel could still be Angel - as it's known as a girl's name. Lindsey would still be Lindsey and Fred would still be Fred.
 
You also got to think how they would look if they gender changed . Would they look the same or different.
Because that might make what they do different . I think that Willow would have to be more outgoing to make it work for starters.
 
OMG - and Chase (formerly Cordelia) would wear his shirts partially unbuttoned with gold chains!

OK - evil = Angel, and good = Angela (emphasis on the gel as in Angelus)

Damn - need a name for Spike! Peg just doesn't strike that note of fear!
 
Why not keep Spike ? It not really his name just what he used to torture people with.

And we need to make a list of who would play who in the new Series .
 
Or Miss Thorn? She tortures people with thorns grown next to railroads.
