You could go around collecting different demons and stuffing them in little balls to make them fight each other

People like Angel, Spike, Buffy, Willow etc could be like the gym leaders and the Elite Four...

So yeah last week i bought Pokémon Pearl and my love of Pokémon has come back XD

So who else here likes Pokémon?
 
For all the hate and disdain it gets, people always forget that the core games in the series are bloody good. The rest of the phenomena I can do without, but when I revently found my old GBC, I played right through Red again. I played the rest of my games for maybe 10 minutes. Combined. I still play Ruby when the mood takes me.

I remember the day many years ago when my cousin turned up at my house with a link cable.......and a MEW! Those were the days....

And Buffy the Pokémon Master? Well, lets just say stranger things have happened. I mean, who expected the freaky Angel/Sesame Street puppet business?
 
I HATE anime, but I LOVE Pokemon!

I really have nothing else to add, other than this is an EXTREMELY amusing thread and I'll try not to mess it up!

You couldn't. Even if you said anything unamusing, the very presence of your avvy would negate it!
I might be a little bit strange...(hush, the lot of you!) but Pokemon came into my world at the tender age of 16...and the boys in my grade were hilariously obsessed with it....oh how funny it was!

Meanwhile...I loved Pikachu...and I remember playing tennis one time and saying that Babalat is a great name for a pokemon just because it would be cool to have a little creature that could only say that....Babalat! (it was the tennis racqet, okay?)

Buffy wouldn't be a good pokemon master...she killed her gigapet, remember? 😉

I used to love Pokémon. I could just sit down for hours playing either Silver,Gold or Blue. (They were the only ones I had!)
 
It would be nice to only have to open the little ball and just suck the demons into it, save it, train it to work for you and then use it against other people.
Like using the Judge against Glory! Now, THAT would have been an episode to watch!

Oh my God, I'm so glad I'm not the only one who still plays those Pokemon Games, lol. Only played the Yellow edition a few weeks back. Well, I even used to collect cards and stuff when I was younger, but like 2 years ago I gave all those cards the little brother of a friend of mine, who was so delighted because he still is in the Pokemon mania age.
 
I replayed Crystal lately and I'm still waiting for Platinum! lol.

I'm sorry but Buffy wearing baggy anime outfits and striking weird poses while hoisting around a bag of balls that somehow carry all the Demons shes fought and making them fight for fun is just 😵

Then again, she could slap a collar on Spike, stick him in a PokeBall and have her keep him as a pet. :lmao:

Well, that sums up my initial feelings.


Pokemon? God, I hate it. No I don´t. But all the trouble it´s caused (work related), meh!

Ok, so I´m blaming my age for not getting into this, the easy way out I know. But I´ll have to admit that in the "right" age I´d probably have loved it. So the Buffy as Pokemon thing feels a bit out of my reach. But it´s nice to see people getting ideas.
 
People who hate Pokémon tend to not have played the games. Is this true for the people here who dislike it? I mean, I dislike all the rest of it, but you can't really knock the core games.
 
I never played the game, I guess I'm too old.
I liked the cartoon though. Spent HOURS watching it while I was pregnant.

Maybe someone can explain the trading cards and or game to me. My poor son gets the trading cards and I swear he doesn't know what to DO with them, just that he's "supposed" to have them. I've looked at the cards, they mean ZILCH to me.
