What If: Glory had killed Tara

I do think when they talk about Glory killing Tara it was suggesting she'd have been killed instead of brainsucked

Yes, I was under the impression that if you appeared in more than a certain number of episodes, you had to be made a regular, unless the actor wasn't interested in becoming a regular.

So, either Amber didn't care, was given something else or Joss and her had some oral agreement.

If I had to speculate, both Joss and Amber were both wary of the series having to shoehorn Cordelia into every episode. They didn't want that. Furthermore, Amber isn't a working professional actor, she has a lot of other interests, and having time to work on other things appealed to her.

I know Glory's a god and all, but I feel like Willow would find SOME way to kill her in revenge. Dark Willow was scary...

Well, the series never really explained what a "god" was. Is it simply an Arch Demon who rules over a demon dimension and claims divine honors from the denizens of it's home and foreign universes, aka Lucifer and First of the Fallen decided to kick Ahriman out of hell? Or it is some sort of Dharmic concept where she's an Avatar of the collective consciousness of one of the fundamental forces of the universe? Like Brahma and Vishnu decided cast Shiva into the Shadow Realm? Or are we just dealing with something a little more ancient, like Glorificus & Co slaughtered an Great Old One and created a slave race of lesser demons from his maggots? Never explained.

But my preferred answer is, Glory is so powerful, she warps creation around her, thus cannot die. Dark Willow would have to outthink her, not outpower her.

Why would the series need to explain what a God is, most people would know what a God is.
Plus
If (Dark) Willow does outpower Glory she would need to outthink her to end her
(no mentions of killing please, this is a family friendly site)
