What do you guys think would have happened if Oz stayed in LOs Angeles???
I think Oz was a great character....to bad they dumped him off. They could have at ;east brought him back or something..................

That would have been cool. I mean they would have had to work it out a bit (since Oz didn't leave Willow until after he visited LA, I think???) but it would have been nice to see him on Angel. It's a bit hard for me to imagine him with the characters, personally. Just two of the most quiet and non-social characters from the Buffyverse on a show without the other scoobies is a wee bit scary😉. But it would've been cool to see him bond with the Angel-gang, since that kind of stuff we didn't really see on BTVS with him that often (Willow excluded). Definitly would have been neat though🙂

They did bring oz back but Willow was with Tara... and it is a good thing that oz left... i mean if he had never left Tara would not have been bought into the story line... and i agree with angelic_slayer, when you say he is quiet and non-social... you can't really imagine him with other characters in the later seasons...

As i understood the matter they didn't dump Oz off so much as allow Seth to follow his growing movie career. I believe that it was his own choice to move on.

i was suprised when they didnt bring oz back in buff??? season 7....glad in a way...keeping willow gay...but kennady grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr TARA FOREVER!!!

^I didn't know that they had a plan to bring back him in series finale...

It would've been hard to bring Oz back for more than a couple of episodes, concidering how popular Seth was becoming, it would be hard to tie him down to a television series.

Oz couldnt have stayed in LA. He would have went back for Willow cos they were still together.

I loved Oz, In fact i wish they would have brought him back for the final season of Buffy it would have really given it a turn around i think lol or the final season of Angel to kinda mentor Nina in the wolfiness lol

I think it would've been really interesting to see Oz as a regular on Angel. I mean, who wouldn't want to see him as a lawyer at an evil lawfirm? I know I would.

i would be cool to have Oz in angel series. i think that he should be bought to the show when he found out that willow was with other person...

it wouldve been cool if, even if they couldnt bring him back, maybe they could have had him contact them (the scoobies or willow) or something, like with a note. it wouldnt exactly be as good as with seth green, but it might be nice, and it wouldnt have to interfere with his movie career. it couldve been a nice thing near the end of the series or during a time where hearing from him wouldve fit. also, it wouldve told us what was going on with him. i really liked oz, but like master kenobi, im still glad he left cause im a fan of tara!

and if he went to LA, he couldve interacted with nina, being that they're both werewolves.

ohh and angel should had appeared in the ep Restless, from BTVS. In willows dream.. i can say the same for angel in buffys dream or cordelia in xanders dream. it should be great.

It would have been great seeing Oz and Nina together! They could have been locked up together during the nights of a full moon! haha

Seth Green wasn't about to come back when he was getting so much movie work. They really couldn't recast Oz with another actor because American fans just link the actor and charcter so closely. Now if you ask what might have happened if Seth Green was out of work and Joss was in a funny mood...I think it would have been a riot. He would have hung with Lorne. Been a possible boyfriend for Fred-might even have called her Winifred because he liked the sound.

I could not disagree with this comment more....hence my comment

Eh?
First and foremost, Seth Green was doing a fair bit of TV work. He wouldn't have to come in as a full on cast member to have a real presense for the year. Heck 10 episodes and he'd he significant enough while at the same time to pursue his movies.

Also, I have to take issue with your 'American Fans' thing about Oz being recast. Oz being recast would have an effect on the entire fanbase around the world, not just the Americans. I know i'd not be completely happy if any of the characters came back but had a different Actor in the lead. HAVING said that, give me a character with a different actor in a role over no show anyday IF the actor replacing is good enough. It wouldn't have been the first time that this sort of thing happens in a TV show.

Now, onto your comments about the characters.
Why wouldn't Oz have been in favour of the move to W&H?
None of the characters should have been OK with that idea, specifically Wesley in my opinion, yet they did it. Why?
Well two reasons fundamentally.
1) They felt that they had resources that they could use to 'fight the good fight' on a grander scale
2) Because Angel said so and each one of the gang trusted Angel.
Oz would have gone with. He may or may not have sounded caution but he would have gone.

Also, i'm not seeing your linking either.
I see there is a connection between Lorne and Oz musically, however I don't feel that is strong enough to say that Oz would 'hung' with him.
I mean lets be honest here, you wouldn't expect to see Elton John out partying with the Lead singer from the Kaiser Chiefs.

AND again, not exactly seeing the 'Fred' connection either.
Oz liked Willow. Willow was intelligent.
Is that how you got that?
Pretty safe to assume thats your main connection, that or the basic He's a he, she's a she and he wouldn't be with Cordelia because thats Angels girl.
Well see my problem would be that Cordelia would be his better suited partner and i'll tell you for why.
They have a history. They have a mutual respect. They have that Cool guy - Hott Chick sorta thing. They'd be like Pete Doherty and Kate Moss.
Fred on the other hand had her hands full as it were. She had both Gunn and Wesley who, in my opinion, are absolute musts for that show to be what it is. With Buffy you can imagine certain characters could have been taken out of the show with little effect, Gunn and Wesley, well they are core elements of its strength and growth away from its Sister show.

I just don't see Oz going to Wolfram & Hart. I suppose because it didn't happen, that i'm having a hard time picturing him doing that at all.

I wonder what kind of character he'd turn into. If he'd stay cool forever or get more intense, or pull a Willow on us all and turn EVIL!!!
