What if there weren't a spin-off?

Let's just imagine that Joss Whedon never had the idea to do the spin-off "Angel" and the characters of Angel, Cordy, Wesley, and the rest never went to L.A. How do you think this would of effected what happened in Buffy, and what would it be like now?

I guess he still would've let Angel leave at the end of S3 along with Wes, but Cordy would've stayed and Anya may not have returned!

it would've greatly impacted buffy...they probably wouldn't have turned willow gay with tara which would've been bad...spike may not have come back because of the extra cast member...

i'm glad there was angel spin off

I figue Spike wouldent be on Buffy right now, and not sure if Dawn would have come along if Cordy had stayed. All and all not that much...
