What if Xander was a main character on Angel?

No,. you're not, you're going far beyond that to say that he's a useless character with no worthwhile qualities.
Even when it's pointed out that Xander's not useless you seem to think everybody should hate him as much as you do. Don't get me wrong I've met plenty of character-haters before; Dawn ones, Connor ones, Angel ones, just not a Xander one.

Okay, but do you weigh up his pro's and con's of the guy and then decide that you hate him, or do you just claim that the pro's aren't even there?
One is a valid opinion, the other is just...well, hate.

I dont particulary love every character, but xander has very strong flaws. Why does he hate Angel that much, if it were giles who hated Angel i could understand but Xander has this adamant hate for Angel, and it all has to do with Buffy, a girl he's not getting with.
Do you really need a reason to hate a guy that has previously killed thousands of people (actually ya, that is the reason). I'm not saying that Xander is right, I actually I think he's wrong not to see the difference between Angel and Angelus, but I can definitely see why Xander hates him. I think you're overreaching, making Xander into this big creep that is obsess with Buffy, which he is not. It's one thing to interpret characters differently if you can explain your reasoning behind it. But you can't invent things that aren't there. I can say that Tara is a psychopathic killer all I want, it won't make it true. I just don't think you can prove that Xander is this creep you make him out to be.
I would have liked that! Many people have mentioned that Willow is more herself on the one episode she appears in in s4 of AtS than she is in s7 of BtVS, which is an interesting take. I would have liked to see how Willow would have grown on AtS. And I might be a tiny bit of a Frillow shipper 😳 Not necessarily as a romantic pairing, but even just as friends, I think Fred and Willow had a lot of chemistry, and would have made for an interesting dynamic.

souless Angelus killed many people, i dont remember if you are right on the thousands but angelus did that which it's recognized by Buffy and everyone who knows the situation except Xander of course. Xander hated Angel before he knew what he had done, he had a crush and still has something for buffy that it's a bit creepy. I have proven his creppiness, he constantly interferes in buffy's love life and demands Buffy tell him about her personal life and she had to rebuked him for it. Friends are suppose to look for one another but there's a line especially when that friend calls you out on it. You can only intervene in grown people lives so much and yes it matters if they want your help or not, people had got to want help to be helped.
yes you cannot prove tara is whatever killer. Xander creepiness is provable and i just did and had for many past posts, I get tired of repeating myself too much

I'll say it then, Frillow would have been kind of hot lol...something about it just...works for me. Not as a conventional relationship but maybe as a fling or something. Maybe a short fling that happened behind everyone's backs. *blush* 😳😳😳 . Sorry Wesley! Although in all seriousness Wes and Fred will always be my immortal endgame for Angel ships.

When a friend tells you to back off and not to interfere in their business and you still keep at it, isnt there something wrong there?, As i said friendship has its limits and there's a line. My opinions are not facts, facts are facts. Xander telling Buffy that she hurt him by not telling him about spike when she previously told him that that's her business is creepy. Maybe we can differ on what's creepy, i sure find the situation creepy and weird. And dont get me started on the whole Riley thing.

Despite other people not being able to move on from Xander having a crush on Buffy, Xander actually can. Since Xander first showed an interest in Buffy he has crushed on Ms French and Empada. Had a one night stand with Faith. Had a fling with Willow. Had relationships with Cordelia, Anya, Renee and Dawn. Most importantly of all he flat out rejected Buffy. Maybe time some other people moved on as well.
Angel has murdered people with his soul. A moments happiness makes him into the most notorious soulless vampire on record. Given those two facts alone it is perfectly understandable for Xander to have negative feelings towards Angel.

Ok, here is the thing. I love Xander as a comedic character, but Angel already had plenty of that in season 5 so I don't think he was needed. And I agree with so many here that Angel was better than Buffy at character development,such amazing progressions. So, in theory this is a fine proposal. But here's the catch, and I may be in a minority on this one, but I never felt Nicholas Brendon's acting chops were all that great. Comedic acting? one of the best, dramatic acting? just didn't think he was all that believable. sorry 😛

The thing is Xander never had a 'dark edge' to him, not really, so how would he fit in on the grittier show?
I could see Willow, or Faith fitting in to Angel (oh boy can I!) but not him, I'm not convinced he has the complexity to complement the other characters. And we already have token funny guy at this point- Lorne.

It's already been said, but I just think Xander would be really out of place in the setting. He just kinda screams Sunnydale to me; more so than the majority of BTVS characters. Now that could be fun to play with for a one off guest appearance, but I can't see him staying there as a regular at all.
Also not sure what he'd have to add to the team honestly.

Hush. Don't ruin my fantasy. In my dream world Xander vacations in LA, stumbles across Lorne and kills him before Angel even meets him so I never have to be subjected to watching him on TV.
