If Oz had gone to Angel, I think he would have sucked. It would have ruined Oz's character

What if Wesley stayed on BTVS?
His character wouldn't have been half as interesting

What if Willow went to Angel after she went dark?
That would have ruined her character and I would have HATED it.

What if Faith went to Angel permanently?
This is the one I really wish happened. Faith was the most interesting with Angel and after Sanctuary... I think he could have really helped her and I think she could have helped him. I think I would have built a respect for both characters I don't have and I really wish we saw this.

What if Doyle didn't die?
Angel would have been a much better show... And Cordy would have had a great relationship.

I agree with the Wes and Willow thing, but about Oz, Why would he have been so bad? I think he would've REALLY worked on Angel if done right.

what would have happened if Buffy hadn't been brought back from Heaven at the start of season 6... how would the Scoobies have drifted apart? Would Tara and Willow still be together, or would have something else happened to them?

Would Willow still have gone to the dark side, or would The Trio have conquered Sunnydale?

Would the First still have appeared? and would The Council have sprung Faith to protect Sunnydale on her own?

Interesting ideas. My thoughts?
What if Oz went to Angel after "New Moon Rising"? Not sure how Oz would fit on Angel. Angel worked well with the cast that it had, but Oz could be an interesting addition. A werewolf who is trying to figure out how to control his power, control himself and prevent himself from becoming a monster. He's also dealing with atonement issues similarly to Angel. He could have been an interesting addition to the cast.
What if Wesley stayed on BTVS? Wesley on Buffy would have been interesting. He grew and changed so much on Angel, his continued presence on Buffy may have stunted some of that growth. Then again - he's a Watcher without a slayer, much like Giles - the two of them could have teamed up to figure some interesting things out in Sunnydale. Might have also made Buffy leaving for college more bearable for Giles with someone to commiserate with.
What if Willow went to Angel after she went dark? She would have killed Angel? Or at least tried to. But that's further down the line 😉
What if Faith went to Angel permanently? That would have been interesting. Faith and Angel's coping with their atonement together may have been an interesting, albeit potentially disastrous combination.
What if Doyle didn't die? It would have been awesome. Doyle's great - and would have eventually, I think, dated Cordelia. Though, I think, that relationship would tragically end eventually.

I always wish Oz would've went to ANGEL after NMR. He fit in really well, IMO, when he went for In the Dark. I read he would've came in Season 6 if they had one and I'm more than bummed that it didn't happen!

I always liked the character Oz so it would have been net to see him on Angel. He would have brought a new dynamic to the group that would have been neat. I could see Oz being in LA and doing his own music thing and only helping Angel on occasion too.

What if Wesley stayed on BTVS?
I don't see his character having much importance on BTVS in the long run.

What if Willow went to Angel after she went dark?
Willow could have very easily ended up dead if she tried that.

What if Faith went to Angel permanently?
I really liked her character on Angel so it would have been nice to see more of her on that show. I don't know that Faith would have fit in well with the AI gang; but it would have been interesting to see her stick around. I'm sure her and Angel would have worked well together and a Faith/Gunn relationship could have been fun.

What if Doyle didn't die?
Doyle and Cordy sitting in a tree... K-I-S-S-I-N-G 😉

I don't think much would've changed. She may have been part of AI for a little but she would've died in the long run anyways I think.

For one, Season 7 and 8 would be TOTALLY different. The show would be a lot worse without Willow aswell. No good things would've come from it.

They would've broken up soon enough or Oz would've died or turned gay. Tillow would've happened anyways I feel.

I think that they would have grown apart. Cordy's character grew a lot on Angel and I don't think that Harmony's would have done the same.

What if Willow's magic addiction in S6 led to her death?
Wow, that would have changed BTVS a lot. I think Willows death might have caused all the scoobies to break up and go their own separate ways.

What if Oz never had the other were-woman and never left Sunnydale?
I think that would have been really hard on Willow; I don't see Oz not trying to help the were-woman (can't remember her name). I think that Willow and Oz would have tried to work things out but that they would have eventually split up. I think that the were-
woman would have caused trouble for Buffy and the gang.

What if BTVS ended with The Gift, but ATS kept going on?
I think that The Gift could have worked for the BTVA series finally. I would have been sad to see it end so soon, but plot-wise I think it would have worked just fine. I think Willow could have made a transition over to Angel, but I don't think any other scoobies would have. Im not sure how that would have worked with Tillow and Dawn though; maybe the three of then move to LA? I don't think BTVS ending with The Gift would have changed ATS too much.

Well, for one, we wouldn't have gotten Season 7, Buffy isn't Buffy without the title character. The scoobies would've drifted apart. Xander & Willow would've fought all the time and Spike wouldn't have been in it as a main character, if at all. Tillow could've stayed together but I doubt it'd be forever. 🙁

The Trio wouldn't have been involved if you ask me. Willow wouldn't have had a reason to because Tara wouldn't have died because Warren wouldn't have been around.

The council probably would've gotten Faith in season 6 instead of Season 7 to atleast give it a chance. The first would've made an appearance, maybe.

What if Ford didn't leave the series and stayed around? (If he wasn't weird in the episode Lie To Me and was just a normal character. The ep could've been mainly about Anne.)

^ I think Jason Behr sort of played him a bit gay so it could've been done that way. What do you guys think?

I think he would have been GREAT. I love Oz as a character and he worked with Angel so it would've been a great thing.

I'd kill myself..ahaha..joking. No, I just think he belongs to Angel where he grew and was a multi-dimensional character...I don't know if we could've ever see him in a different way on Buffy.

Oh wow..I can't even begin to imagine what she could do to everybody there and how would they react...this is hard...I doubt someone there could help they way Xander did.

Uhm...no, this is not an image I like. Faith's character would probably get some extra time but her and Angel working together...nah..I don't see it.

What if Doyle didn't die?
We could have seen more of him (always good) and saw him with Cordelia..it would have been such an awesome relationship.

Lots of what if's proposed. Here's my ideas:

What would have happened if Buffy hadn't been brought back from Heaven at the start of season 6... how would the Scoobies have drifted apart? Would Tara and Willow still be together, or would have something else happened to them? Would Willow still have gone to the dark side, or would The Trio have conquered Sunnydale? Would the First still have appeared? and would The Council have sprung Faith to protect Sunnydale on her own? It depends - why didn't she come back from Heaven? Did they leave well enough alone? If so, then they would all have figured out how to cope with the loss in their own way. Without the heavy focus on excessive and darker magic to raise Buffy, Willow may not have gone dark. Also, what reason would Spike have for getting a soul without Buffy still around? None, that's what. I think a Season 6 without Buffy would lead to Xander and Anya still breaking up - just as they did. It would lead to Willow and Tara raising Dawn as her de facto parents and, with all of them distracted, they would be less able to stop the Trio. I foresee a prison break to free Faith at this point to help them defeat the Trio. Without the help of Faith, they would not be able to stop them. I think the First would still arrive the same as it did in current Season 7 and with Faith's help leading the way - a different type of Scooby Gang would have to save the day.

A more interesting plot! Faith and Willow would have been interesting. I'm uncertain what Willow's role would be. She definitely would not be willing to help out at Wolfram and Hart. May, instead, work with Faith to investigate for a while before coming towards them directly. Perhaps being tricked by Lindsey as well...but in a different manner.

...What if it was Fred who got possessed instead of Cordy in Season 4 of ATS? I don't know if it would have worked as well. Cordy's semi-demonic nature, plus Connor's heritage made them the perfect surrogates for Jasmine. Fred as the surrogate could have worked - I don't think would have been as satisfying of a story.

...What if Xander was gay instead of Willow? It would have been an interesting twist. I think he would come out as Willow tried to go after Xander after Oz left. I have a feeling that a single, heterosexual Willow might have went back to her default from earlier seasons - her love of Xander. That's when Xander's feelings would become known. Not sure who Xander's beau would be...Andrew perhaps? Perhaps a Season 6 where Andrew ends up betraying the Trio after falling for Xander.

...What if Tara left in Family? It would have been an awful exit for her character. It also may have prevented the change in Willow from the end of Season 6. Willow would have been forced to get over her loss - but not from an assassination putting her over the top. I think someone else would have been murdered in Season 6 with Tara leaving early, possibly Dawn, leading to a complete breakdown of Buffy...and possibly a suicide attempt.

...What if Justine became a regular character on Angel? Interesting concept. A permanent Justine would have had to have been freed by Wesley sooner and chosen to stick around town. Perhaps Wesley keeping tabs on her and eventually a relationship brewing as he turns to her for help in circumstances where he can't do things himself.

...What if Lilah didn't die? She would have been the liaison between the Senior Partners & the Angel crew in Season 5. She may have been able to have been seduced by Lindsey - but I'm not sure. May have led to a different Season 5.

The Gift wouldn't have been even sort of as epic as it was. Seasons 6 and 7 MAY have been slightly more enjoyable but I don't know. I'm glad Buffy died. ^.^

Cool, I never really liked Dawn. 😛 But in all seriousness it would have changed a lot, Buffy would have never been dragged out of heaven making season 6 less "dark". I wonder if Buffy would have resisted Spike more and denied her feelings more...

What if Spike had been ensouled by gypsies instead of Angelus?
Angelus is one of my favorite characters and my guess is we wouldn't see to much of him if he hadn't been ensouled so I am glad he was. Plus if you know me you know I love Bangel and it would be sad if we didn't get that. I suppose Angleus would have been that big bad and him, Darla and Dru would have eventually come to Sunnydale to stir up trouble. I actually would like to see Angelus working with Darla and Dru and Spike being the good Vampire with a soul....it would be very entertaining. I wonder how Spike would take the verbal beatings Angelus would throw at him.

What if Robin Wood showed up in Season 6 instead of Season 7?
The scoobies would have connected the dots sooner and he either would have had to learn to live with and work with Spike or he would have had to leave Sunnydale.

What if Harmony was the Big Bad instead of the Trio in Season 6?
Would Harmony have lasted that long? 😛 I think Buffy and the Scoobies could have handled her pretty well. Although an interesting twist could have been: After seeing Harmony so much Xander is reminded of Cordy and the feelings he had for her....maybe he goes to LA on weekend to see her?

What if Cordy never became vision girl?

Well, Angel wouldn't have been the same show. She wouldn't have gotten the same character development cause let's face it, the visions were Cordy's. She had them and it became part of her character development. If she didn't have them she wouldn't have had the same changes happen to her that did happen in Angel. 🙂

What if Giles stayed in England after Buffy was brought back?

Giles would be marked as an asshole for the rest of his long-living life? I don't know how to answer this what if because Giles did change seasons 6 and 7 but I dunno, him coming back made sense and I don't know why Giles WOULDN'T come back.

What if Faith and Buffy had become really good friends in season 3 instead of enemies?

Faith would've become a series regular and this show would be the best thing to ever be on TV. Every episode would've been amazing, no doubt that the show would get so many emmy's and would single-handedly change the land of Television. And I'm not even kidding...

What if Xander had the power of Magic instead of Willow?

Xander wouldn't have gone off the edge I don't think, for one, Xanya probably would've been a very smaller relationship. They'd have no reason to go on because Xander would be more focused on the magic then Anya. Xander could've went evil for other reasons though.

What if Cordy never became vision girl? That depends on why she didn't become "vision girl." If it was because Doyle survived? Then we've done that question. If it was because it was transferred from Doyle to someone else - that begs the question of who was it sent to. If it were Angel, I think we'd see an Angel much like the one episode where Cordelia sees a world where she never had the powers. An Angel that descends into madness and a much grittier world setting, which actually could have been interesting. If it were say, Wesley - now that could have been interesting as well. A "vision" powered Wesley would have developed differently and would be interesting to see.

What if Giles stayed in England after Buffy was brought back? I understand the perspective of BuffyHeaven, but I think this wasn't an unrealistic situation. Giles may have decided against returning to see Buffy after she was raised from the dead for any number of reasons. Perhaps he actually returned to the Watcher's Council. Perhaps he just was afraid of what she had become once she returned from the beyond. Perhaps he was just a coward. At any rate - I still think Giles would return to Sunnydale eventually, if he didn't come back immediately - he would eventually return.

What if Faith and Buffy had become really good friends in season 3 instead of enemies? It would have changed quite a bit of Season 3. Without the assistance of Faith, the Mayor may have been defeated sooner. That said - Faith as just a part of the group would be tough because of their different personalities. She just didn't mesh very well with the group - she fit in much better along with the Angel crew than with the Scoobies IMO.

What if Xander had the power of Magic instead of Willow? He would very rapidly be seduced by dark magic. Xander has shown that he's not as strong willed as other characters with his quick turn by Dracula as the best example that comes to mind. I imagine an epic Season 3 where a dark Xander has begun using his powers first to embolden / strengthen himself - then to eventually retain said strength and power. He may fall prey to the mindset here he thinks he can do anything. With the Mayor in town - he may try to approach Xander to pull him into his circle - the difference being that a powerful warlock Xander may eventually overpower and replace the Mayor as the Big Bad. That could have been awesome.
