So the discussion in this thread about the Mohra blood got me thinking... What if Angel resurrects Giles somehow with the demon blood and Giles comes back as the Big Bad?! How delicious would it be to see Giles in true Ripper form???

I love Giles as Giles, but I got to thinking about this and the more I think about it, the cooler I think it would be. Thoughts?
 
I don't want him to come back, would reduce the impact of him dying in the first place. I would have loved to see Giles in Ripper form at some point during the TV series, but now it would just seem a bit silly imo.
 
I actually had that idea on the way back from work the other night. One of my friends was driving me home and she was so shocked at the idea that she didn't speak for like a whole minute. And then said how awesome that would be.

I do love Giles though. And I would be sad to see him like that . . . a little. But I think that is one of the more interesting things they could do with the story arc this season.

I agree... It would be a little bittersweet to see Giles as the baddie, but at the same time, it would be different. They've never portrayed Giles as the villain, although some people say it was hinted at in Season 7... I think it would be a really interesting spin and it would definitely add a lot of drama.

I see your point, and I agree but I'm just speculating an idea based off the discussion of Giles being brought back to life by the Mohra blood Angel's holding in that new comic cover.
 
I'm intrigued by the notion. It would be rather heart-ripping if Giles returned only to be evil but oh boy do I think he'd be good at being evil! 🙂 (it would also fit nicely into the kind of 'what's dead should stay dead' point they made when Dawn tried to bring Joyce back. Just because it worked out for Buffy doesn't mean it'll work for one and all. I think it's good if they point out that death, in a way, is more or less final for most. At least when it comes to being who they were... their face might be worn by someone else but they won't be the same)

We've only seen flashes of Ripper but I would have loved to see some more of that side of him, even if Ripper wasn't technically evil I suppose.

The same thing could be said about dead characters being resurrected, good, bad, or somewhere in between. Let the dead rest, and if you need more characters, create new ones.
 
I think by season 7, Giles had less to give us. So it would be a nice redirection for him. I vote yes!
