So Connor isn't exactly Human as Lorne's Sanctuary spell kind of suggests, he must be part demon.*

Is he like Buffy? where Spike can hit her without experiencing pain? due to being part Demon?

Furthermore, if we believe Jasmine when she takes credit for manipulating everyone into position to make her corporeal, with Jasmine being dead at the end of season 4, shouldn't all the spells she conducted during her entire existence also end?

Meaning Connor should cease to exist?

Or is the very fact Connor doesn't cease to exist cast doubt on the story that Jasmine was behind it all?

It is said that when Angel attempted to give Darla a second chance at life by passing a series of trials in season 2 'The Trial'. Unbeknownst to Angel at the time, Darla was not able to use the new second chance because she was already on her second life, and Jasmine claims she was able to use the life Angel earned to create Connor after Angel had sex with Darla in 'Reprise'.

''Jasmine arranged for many of the events seen in Angel Seasons One through Four all to align players as necessary in order to create the opportunity to come to Earth. These included Lorne's arrival on Earth, the passing of Doyle's visions to Cordelia, later Cordelia's transformation into a part demon and her ascension into the realm of the Powers, the birth of Connor, and the coming of the Beast.''

The first time Connor tried to attack Angelus, Lorne's sanctuary spell knocked him halfway to Abilene.

WESLEY
Which means Connor is at least part-demon.

What is Connor?

Confusing.

I think there were some major behind-the-scenes rewrites taking place during S4, and from the way everything went down, Connor must have been one of them. He was set up for so long (pretty much since the second season) and after all that he was...what? A pawn designed by Jasmine to bring her into the world? Huh? Jasmine had to go through all that? She couldn't just have it done with a regular couple?

The entire arc with Jasmine was, excuse me for being blunt, dumb. I know that the show's writers had to scramble after everything with Charisma Carpenter went down, but it just became incredibly muddle, and Connor was just the beginning. I mean, you're honestly telling me that Jasmine had everything since S1 mapped out? No way. That it wasn't the PTB sending Cordy and Doyle visions, that Fred was trapped in Pylia and that Gunn's sister died and a million other things all happened because of some elaborate plot by Jasmine? The only way the fourth season is saved in my mind (I liked the entire season all the way up until Jasmine) is when I just say in my head that she was lying (or that Skip was).

So by the increasingly convoluted logic presented by Skip and Jasmine, Connor nothing more than a freak creation of theirs. There was nothing really special about his birth or any real cool reason for it.

I think that is probably the best position to take! lol
Magical energy in human form?

Interesting question though, I've never really given it much thought; but I'm guessing he is somehow part demon. He was enough human that slipping some of his blood to Angel caused an increased interest in blood and odd behavior.

Edit: According to Buffy Wiki Connor is half-demon. http://buffy.wikia.com/wiki/Connor

indeed, He's definitely not pure Human, but do you believe Jasmine's explanation of how he came to exist?
