What is Gunn's role?

I like Gunn, but i don't really see his character going anywhere. There is not a lot of developement of his character, and this is unusual in a show like Angel. I think there should be more episodes centered around him, and i would like to find out even more about him. What do you think?? ::tongue::
 
I agree, I'm kinda torn between Wes and Gunn with Fred, but i think they should have an ep. centered around the three of them.

That's why I think that they shouldn't have introduced him at the end of the first season/put him in the cast the second season. It was just too quick. They have potential to expand Gunn, and J. August is great, but they did everything just so fast.
 
yeah. but im sure they will find a way, but Oh my god. how could she pick gunn over wes. i love gunn, but wes....

I'm soory, all Gunn lovers, I just have strong feelings against Gunn right now, but I DO like him. I'm pretty sure he's still great, but I never think too much about it anymore🙁
 
i too express that opnion, although by him getting it on with fred he's created tension between him and wes so that could help his position more in angel! they haven't really divulged much into gunns life other than the boyz in the hood and the one with that evil boy in it have they?
 
i think they havent delved
cause its just too painful a past for gunn to want t revisit again
i mean he had to kill his sister
granted she had been turned
but i think theyre probably doing the 'he's moved on lets not bother with his past too much' kind of thing
and buiklding his character in the now
so he progresses wqiith the show and stuff not from personal experiences the way that theyre doing with fred

I think we still have alot to learn about Gunn's personality and background, thats what makes me like him. He has a strong character and i'm pretty sure there is a deeper reason behind that!
 
i mean what does Gunn actually do what are his abillitys we don't know and i think they should have like 4 episodes where we find out information about Gunn.

Gunn is definetly the side-kick in the show. He was tougher though I think Fred softened him up though.
Gunn' role at this stage (season 4) is to keep the fred/wes/gunn triangle going every show needs a love triangle, and he's part of it.
 
i think it is being with Fred and helping with the books/fighting he does really good on fighting
 
Am I the only one that takes in mind the new developments between him and Gwen? I mean that's a story!
 
I agree - I love that storyline 😀 But how could he in "The Magic Bullet"
give Fred a hard time about their relationship? True he was under Jasmine's influence at the time, but still...
 
I think he's got potential, it just hasn't been tapped in the past 2 seasons. J. (can I call him J.?) is a fine actor, and I think when they start to give him a deeper role he will rise to the challenge.
and it looks like he may be playing a deeper role in the next season, considering the black panther scene at the end of Season 4, and also his interactions with Gwen.
