What is Knox's deal?

I just wanted to know how many people think Knox is evil. And not just because he keeps messing up Wes/Fred. I just mean truly evil. Because every time he does something all "gee golly shucks" sweet, I expect him to mass murder AI by the end of the season. Your thoughts?

My internal jury is still very much out on Knox. One minute I think he's an "aw shucks" bad guy like The Mayor, and the next I decide that he's just there to be a wrench is the Fred relationship gears. He's had so little screen time, and most of his dialogue has been gadget-centric. It's hard to form an opinion.

Not sure, he seems good, but I hate his hiney, so I hope he's not and I hope Spike kills him.

It is always hard to tell in the Jossverse whether a character's evil, no matter how good they may appear, but all my instincts tell me that he's just a nice, decent guy who happens to be working for an evil company. Maybe he just loves science, and the evil schemes of Wolfram and Hart offered great scientific opportunities (plague and weapon creation. fun!).

The writers can go many ways with Knox's character. The actor who plays Knox also was Holden in "CWDP" and Joss can decide to do a storyline where W&H bring back Holden from the dead, give him a new name, and he's still evil...

I'm traveling the safe road for now and saying he's somewhere in the middle...although I hope he is evil...

I think he's firmly planted in the middle. I think he's basically just a working stiff trying to make a living and unfortunately that living is at an evil law firm. He knows things he's working on are for evil purposes, but I think he's able to look beyond that as long as he's bringing home a decent paycheck.

Kind of like the people who work for George W Bush.

LOL! My, what pleasant thoughts flow from you to all of us. Ever since Lorne 'read' him, I've been pretty convinced that he ain't evil. I don't know, I think he's just there 'cause there's gotta be something holding Wes and Fred apart. Darn it, I love Knox and all but he should hit on Harmony or something. .. hmm where is Harmony anyway?
