What is love??Have you ever been in it?

I agree with you 100% polexia! I have different love for my parents, brother and the rest of my family than I have had for my romantic involvements. I believe in love above anything else in this world! I had "puppy love" in highschool with my highschool sweetheart. I had a very big loving relationship afterwards with somebody else as well. I think their is also a difference in the expression, "I love you" and "I'm in love with you". Personally I think both are needed when it is in regard to your spouse or mate.

I am in love right at this verry moment...(i think)Though, as cordelia I can't explain it...Well my -ex- calin moved to florida but then moved back...We almost emediatley(sp?) broke up, and honestly he turned into a male skank...He has been out with different girls alot...Basically he turned into Parker from S4 of Buffy...Anyways i am still in love with him...The old him, I mean....The nice sweet generous brave and really cute type of guy....I wish he would gimme another chance...But really i wouldnt trade what we had, even if i knew it wasnt gonna last forever...(quote from boymeets world) and that is how i really felt...And to me, that is ONE of the many ways to define love!
 
Like Cordelia sed, love isn't words, anyone can say they love you, love is more action, like what the other person does for you, how they act with you.
And I think you know if your in love, it's a certantiy that your just sure of. But I personally don't know coz I've never been in love.
 
If we don't know how to define love how can we know it really exists????Maybe it's just a steryotype....
 
It's something you feel, you can't define it coz there's different types of love and people feel in different ways. I love my family, I know I love them but I can't describe it. But that love is different to the love that people will feel for their partners.

Think of it this way, you can't see the wind, but you know it's there. That's what love is.
 
Maybe it isnt...I don't know....But while it lasts it is an amazing feeling...But sometimes when it ends eventually, it...Just isn't that nice of a feeling...But sometimes love never dies...I dont know.i am trying to explain it...But i can't!NOOO!!

That is the passage that was read at my parents wedding. They are happily married 23 years now. I soooooo beleive in love, not that it isn't easy being in love. I have been hurt by love too. I'm sorry ana8 that you were hurt too. I do understand and I do know that when the timing is right your heart will heal and you too will experience love again. Love is in all we do, everywhere we are, everthing we say.

I've been in love twice...big mistake. The problem with love is that you have to make positively sure that the person you love, is in love with you as well...otherwise you will get hurt 🙁

Yeah, i'll be more careful next time...
 
I dont think you can really describe what love is, like inlove. I think its what you feel and at the moment I know I'm inlove with someone and I know that someone is inlove with me back, which I thank God for everyday.

That's pretty close to how I think real love feels...something inside that drives us...always has us searching, hurting, screaming, laughing, crying, making us do things we wouldn't normally do...and there's no escaping it...or controlling it...it's a force that will drive us to our own destructions...
