What is the best Spike focused episode?

My favourite is 'Harsh Light of Day' because he is just so cool in that episode and really beats the crap out of Buffy (Not happened since School Hard, and some of the punches and kicks in that fight are just awesome, and a great scene happens at the start when he first meets Buffy between him and Parker, its just a shame that there wasn't a two parter of this episode on Buffy because it would have been great to have Spike beeing able to fight Buffy again, before the arrival of his chip
 
My favourite is definitely "Fool For Love". I am a huge fan of the Fanged Four flashbacks anyway and this one just gives so much insight to Spike's character.

Fool for Love, any day. I love seeing Spike's evolution from gentle poet to brutal killer to Slayer of Slayers to a vampire in love. Love, love, love that episode.
 
Another Fool for Love fan here as well. I loved seeing how Spike got his start as a vampire, and where certain human aspects of his personality carried on throughout the years. Like Mumrik said it gave us all a great insight into his character, and with how Buffy treated him in the end it really made me sympathetic towards him. Great writing in this episode!
 
"Fool For Love" is great.

I also love his role in "Becoming pt. 2"... his wisdom and personality really comes out in that episode when he's talking to Buffy about "Happy Meals on Legs" and how it's all just tough-guy talk. Plus, the scene with joyce is great.
 
I'm with wishing oceans on this one i love school hard. It is so great to have watched the whole series and love both evil and good spike. I will say some of my favorites are when he was evil and this episode just shows it all. I love his wit and how he was so confident coming in. Just a wonderful episode.
 
It has to be fool for love. But i love Harsh light of day and School hard too. Theres so many great Spike episodes though its hard to pick.

"Lovers walk" gets my vote, Spike is just brillant in this episode right from the scene with Joyce when he taunts Angel and then onto the scenes with Angel and Buffy, classic Spike, thoroughly entertaining.
 
I'm going to agree with the majority here and say "Fool For Love." The chemisty between him and Buffy is red-hot, and as Mumrik said, I really enjoy the flasbacks from Spike's past and his interactions with the Fanged Four because of course anything with them is pure gold.

Runner-up would be "Lies My Parents Told Me."

I like most of the Spike based episodes, so it's hard to pick a favourite. The only one that I don't like would be Lies My Parents Told Me. Something about it just didn't seem to click for me. There are definitely different things I like about different episodes.

Top two episodes though would be:

Fool For Love - The ultimate Spike episode. It shows some great flashbacks, and gave us a great chance to look into the person that William was. It also provided us with the beautiful Spuffy scene at the end. Oh, and great fights - I love a good fight!
School Hard - I remember watching this episode for the first time and being so excited. School Hard has everything to me. Great fights, Buffy in cute skimpy outfits, Spike being amazingly awesomely cool, Spike watching Buffy dance. Just excellent.

I'm going with "Lover's walk" too, indeed classic Spike. Reminded me how much I missed his character and wanted him back 🙂
 
I am going to have to go with a different episode from everyone else. While I loved "Lovers Walk" and "Fool for Love", my peak of interest came in Season 7 for BTVS. I know a lot of people here don't like Season 7, but back in 2002/2003 I was so hooked on the show.

So the episode I am going go with is "Sleeper". I enjoyed this episode mostly because there was a certain mystery to it. Spike was killing people again, and Buffy was dissapointed in him, but you could still see that she had hope in him. I love when Spike went to the bar himself and started to investigate asking people if they have seen this woman. Then the fight scene in the bar is pretty cool too.

I also loved the ending in that old basement. You could really see and feel the connection between Buffy and Spike. Season 7 was great if you like the positiveness between Spike and Buffy.

Love Sleeper! Good choice :)
I don't know what all classifies as a Spike episode, but he was great in Touched, Something Blue, and Becoming. My favorite is probably Fool for Love though.
